DRIVE DESCRIPTION

A 3 hour roller coaster ride in the beautiful Nahil area. Welcome to the Carnity Fewbie Nahel drive.  

Starting ON TIME is key and hence, The drive will Commence Sharp 10 minutes from the meeting time is at 6.00 am,

DRIVE DETAILS

Level:  Fewbie and above  

When:  06 June 2026

Meeting time: 05.45 AM (Drive Starts at 6:00)

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face mask, rubber gloves, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

Approximate finish time: 09.00-09.30 am

Mandatory off-road gears: Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, Rope, 2 Shackles, first-aid kit, and fire extinguisher.

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE:

• This drive is limited to 10 cars only.  
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Id like to come but im not getting up at 4.30am to drive in the desert. Bananas!

@MarkH summertime desert driving is generally an early morning activity for safety of all. Drive start times will normally be either 05h30 or 06h00, with arrival sufficiently before then to be full deflated and have held the briefing before the start time.  The aim being to exit the drive before the late morning heat becomes dangerous to humans and the cars. For further afield drives a 03h30 alarm clock is normal 🙃

We used to be out in all seasons during the day in Qatar. No worries, fully respect that it is the guy organisings choice to set the time afterall they're the one going out of their way to organise the drive!

 

I'll stop my membership until the weather cools off and the times become more sensible for me.

That's a catch. I recycled a drive post I had to lead in that area which was done in cooler times so the timing was off, even the meeting area was off from what I would have done which I changed. I, like many prefer to be done before it temps rise to higher 30s here so I start at dawn and close it at around 9 - 930 max, and often 8:30 as well in some cases.

Following is the convoy order, and we will stick to Ch4 because it is the seasons channel.
