miked
hello fellas, Last week one of the spark plugs just shot and it made a loud noise. I shut down the car, took it to Al Futtaim and got a new plug installed. The car seemed back to normal. I brought it home. After a day or two I saw some error codes comes up, I disconnected the battery to wipe out the codes since I genuinely thought that those codes were triggered due to the spark plug incident. Now my car won't start and it has been sitting idle. I checked the connectors, wires, battery, everything ... can't seem to find anything wrong. What can it be? nicholas
Check for more sparks when you turn your car on ... have a friend help you out ... or the 'blown' factor might have caused some sort of damage to the engine control unit.
captain
Yes the ECU might have been affected and plus a compression test might help - it will establish the compression rate on your vehicle and whether or not the car will run efficiently. Here is how you can go about doing it: http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/how-to/maintenance/cars-101-how-to-do-a-compression-test-14912158 Another thing, have your battery and engine connections thoroughly checked - something you might have done already.. just a reminder.
