ssfom
Hello guys I have changed tire size of my new JK 2014. the new size is 285/70/17 with 2.5 inch lift. Power and acceleration got effected somehow! after some research, I found that I might need to re-gear the car with better ratio. the original ratio (not sure) 3.21. some online calculators has shown that ratio to be upgrade up to 3.73 or 3.91. however, 4.10 might do! I seek a better advice on: - if anyone has good experience on this issue - where can I buy the proper PINION & RING? - any idea about the cost? khandelwal
To be honest, 2014 is too new to explore the re-gearing option. If you don't mind being guinea pig and doing experiment with your new ride and cost please do so. I wouldn't do it in this stage and wait for few months or year to see what gear ratio and what component works perfect. No matter how much mod shop offer guaranteed work, I wouldn't believe until I see solid proof (hope you getting my point and concern). If you still ready for bet, my suggestion is get the stuff imported from US aftermarket part seller, as they are far more honest and straight-forward than this part of the world.
