Our first "Kia Drive"

We are proud to announce our first “Kia Drive” on Friday 23 November 2012. This drive will be a good start to meet other Kia drivers and share the brand enthusiasm. With mix reaction over type of drive our members suggests, we have decided to leave this to the majority of participant’s votes. So please select the type of drive that you like: “Dubai Parade” or “Long drive”.

Dubai Parade style can be started off around afternoon (after Friday prayer) at a centralized location in Dubai and the entire convoy will circle key places in Dubai (SZR, Jumeirah, Karama, Bur dubai, Deira etc.)

Long drive can be started off from morning by 9.00 – 10.00 am, we can head to Al Ain (Jabal Hafeet) or Hatta side, have the Friday prayer and lunch together and drive back to Dubai before 5-6 pm.

Please list your name with the choice of drive. Thanks.

P.S. Please note, that this Kia drive is sole initiative and supported by Kia Dubai Online Community members and not supported by Kia Dealers in Dubai.

Meeting Point: First Enoc Petrol Station on Oud Metha Road going towards Al Ain (Opp Al Wasl Stadium + Latifa (earlier Al Wasl) Hospital.

Guys, since it's gonna be a first fun drive, I suggest for Dubai Parade style to invite more KIA Owners to join in the next fun drive. Let's put banners in side part or back of the vihicle with information about how to be a member and how to join in the next fun drive. Let's make sure to get the permit from the municipality or from RTA or where ever for this event. I think it is better to inform KIA Motors for this event may be they can be our sponsor and for theme to be informed about the event. Regards

I agree with pog maybe we should try to inform Kia Motors also and we might need a permission from RTA if we want fun drive with banners in our car.

I beg to differ here, why we need to inform Kia Motors? And what sponsoring will they do (if ever they are interesting to do)?

For putting stickers on car with our forum name shouldn't be a problem with RTA, every offroad club has it on their cars. Banners will be too much and i doubt RTA will ever allow that even if Kia Motors is involved. These outdoor advertising need permission from Dubai Municipality (not RTA) after paying hefty fees, which billboard and kiosks companies pays.

For driving our cars in group, do we really need sponsor??? Admin here already mentioned to arrange stickers in other thread, which if they like we can pay for it.

Prefers long drive .. I am in even if it is within dubai successfully completed a long drive to salalah from dubai during eid with my cool cerato .. Ppl said impossible, I made it possible

Why cant we post this idea on Kia UAE's facebook page and let them know that we are doing this?? Atleast we will find more Kia owners interested in this trip,,
