It's better to learn from other people mistakes by analyzing these offroad accidents or mistakes done by thousands of offroaders every year. This will be an educational tool with open discussions regarding mishaps in off-roading based on your own experience and off-road knowledge. Just because you don't understand or like something doesn't make it crap. There are massive hatchback scenes all over the world and Ford have built some pretty cool Focuss (Focii?) and Fiestas. Light and fast can be just as much, if not more fun than a V8 heavy land yacht which has to be wrestled around corners. Fiesta models, XR2, Supersport, XR2i, Crayford, RS Turbo, Si, that's the older ones. Some good examples of them command higher prices than a brand new Mustang. Then you have the later ST models. 6.9 0-60, 159 BHP per tonne is nothing to be sniffed at, especially in a small hatchback. Many huge 4x4s can't even meet that figure. Then you also have the Fiesta WRC which speaks for itself. Incedentally, does anyone know why the Indian manufactured Fiestas are called Figo? With the Focus, standardish models, there was the Ghia X which offered Lexus luxury for a fraction of the price. Sportish wise, there was the RS. If you have a Mk1 Focus RS now, you can name your price for it. The later models have insane power. Even the "basic" ST model runs a 2.5 turbo Volvo engine which is crazy in a medium sized hatchback. Look at the limited edition RS500. It's what Mr Vader would drive. Now let's move to the WRC models, if it was good enough for the legend that was Colin McRae, it's good enough for me.

These are known as Trophy trucks created originally for the Baja 1000 ( pronounced Baha ) race in Baha Callifonia which is purely a 100 percent off road race And Robby Gordon is a big name in this and he uses same trophy truck abiet slightly modified, mostly a station wagon shell to carry a spare tyre and recovery eq rather than a pick up shell for the Dakar Rally which I'm sure you are aware of is considered the worlds toughest off road rally And I use to own a early Range Rover Classic which didn't come with a factory sway bar for good wheel articulation and rolled around the corners similar to these trucks and even had a warning on the sunshade not to take corners at speed because of risk of roll over! LOL But I had no issues with it on road or off. Infact the extended wheel; articulation of the classic was an asset in the sand

The guy loves 2wheel drive mode. Because of that when he went over the top of the dune his front wheels just got stuck instead of pulling the car forward like in a 4wd mode.

It was indeed a wonderful drive and literally breathtaking for all of us to have Range Rover in the convoy. All the pun intended. To be honest Bilal, you have managed very well as a newbie and it doesn't really look like as if it was your first attempt in the sand. We have seen many newbies breaking the bumpers even after all the briefing and guidance, so keep it up. Hope, driveshaft mounting isn't a big deal issue...?
