Wow, wow, wow. We never expected that to happen so soon or to have been welcomed into this 4x4 group so warmly. Even though we are both truly delighted and humbled to have been upgraded, there's still a lot of newbie drives in us, and now we know a massive amount of learning to come. Thanks to everyone and we look forward to seeing you at oh my god o clock on Friday for the next adventure. Now we need to plan a bit longer drive on Friday as the Fewbie drive beckons. Would highly recommend to have separate logins as after the Fewbie level it would be difficult to promote not knowing which driver is going t turn up on the day of the drive. I beleive this user ID is for Richard, my promise that once Marjan creates her own ID I will promote her to Fewbie level immediately.

I am truly grateful for recognizing my contribution with this promotion. I can proudly say that our hard work generally pays off but unfortunately, from time to time, we drop the ball, forget something or simply don’t perform to our usual high standards. There is no secret that one of the key ingredients of success is evolution. I have been wondering off late to get a ceramic coating done on my truck as the advantages of this seem to be very enticing. To start with, it provides a good protection on the existing paint and secondly, the car stays clean for longer as dirt, water, mud etc supposedly slides off due to less friction and this could be great for me since my truck is black. Ceramic coat jobs done by experts are a bit pricey as it could cost upto AED 2000 but then again, you can be rest assured that it is done by experts. However I checked out some DIY videos on youtube as there are some easy instructions on how this can be done and the cost for the same is drastically reduced as you could get ceramic coats from car shops, amazon etc from the range of AED 30-200. I am however not sure if its a good idea to try it out myself and would like for people who have perhaps dabbled with this before to share their experiences. Thanks

@YOGG that took a long time. Glad you have it sorted and thank you for the update.

@Per A its a Pajero thing. you just need to take a few on the chin. For the price a 4x4 is too good to be true, so it is too good to be true. You get a few noise here and a few noise there and some vibration that just haunts you for a while and disappears or mirrors rattling. Just need to take some good with the bad. if the car is in an undriveable state then we can think about how to get it moving again.

Have fun. Gonna miss the drives for the next 4 weeks.
