  2. Dear All, as we always pledge to leave no one behind we stretched this drive to ensure all WL have their share of the fun on the sand tomorrow morning. As we have 2 convoys (X & Y), please read carefully and ensure you join the correct convoy: Pre-drive details below: 1- Please be on time and bring all your passion for off-roading and pull as much as you can of yourself out of bed.. trust me you will need all of it. 2- Be at the correct meeting point by 6:30am (or before) and be ready to move max by 6:45am max (deflated, flag erected, 4H on, radio on and set, airbags/traction/abs all set....) 3- Please ensure your programable radio is on, fully charged and set to the correct channel for your convoy 4- Briefing will be done on on the sand before we start moving 5- Please be prepared for a demanding drive which you will require your undivided attention. Bringing passengers is ok provided they will not be a cause for distraction and don't have known motion sickness or fear of heights. 6- Please ensure everything in the car is tied down and no moving objects 7- Please check all car fluids, tow hooks, and ensure no hanging parts below the chassis. 8- please ensure you come with a full tank (as much as possible) in addition to all necessary gear for this drive level specially your safety flag and radio (NO FLAG or RADIO = NO DRIVE) 9. 5. Thank you @Hisham Masaadand @Gauravfor going the extra mile to make sure we poor folk had a drive to attend this week. Fewbie Plus drives are hard to get on these days and this week was probably the hardest so I am grateful that you worked the system on our behalf. Thanks to all who attended and made it a fun, fast day with lots of *fun political discussion and misunderstandings. The drive included some lovely fast, flowing, fairly high speed stretches contrasted with some long waits for technical failures and a fair old helping of stucks, refusals and a very unlucky flat tyre. All in all, lovely to be back in the F+ saddle and looking forward to more.

  10. Welcome to Grand Iftar Drive - It's once in a year opportunity for all off-roaders in UAE to meet and sit in one place to enjoy Grand Iftar together. It's being held in coordination with most off-road clubs and approx. 400-500 off-road cars show up every year at Iftar bowl near Tawi Rifadah in the Bidayar area. Iftar bowl, got its name because long ago (till 2008) all off-roaders use to park inside the iftar bowl and break their fast, but with today's growing numbers everyone parks outside the bowl, but in a closer vicinity. Whether you are fasting or not, it's a must-drive to attend to watch the union of off-roaders and witness the love and respect that everyone shares in this small world of off-roading in UAE. Please feel free to join us with your friends and family with your Iftari & a little extra to share with others. Please do not litter as kills beautiful wildlife, so please carry enough garbage liners to pack the trash. Drive Details Level: ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME When: 16 April 2022, Saturday Meeting time: 4:30 PM (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: https://goo.gl/maps/oKKoJgPeaPdQVJsD7 Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. What to bring along: Iftar food and drinks for yourself and a little extra to share, camping chairs, mat, etc. Approximate finish time: 9:00 PM P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive. UNLIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE: PLEASE RSVP ON THE BELOW CALENDAR EVENT

  14. Hi @Elsinno thanks for RSVPing to this drive. However unfortunately as this a NB drive completing an Absolute Newbie is a prerequisite before joining a Newbie drive such as this one. Accordingly I have to remove your RSVP and will ask you to first complete an AN first. Looking forward for driving with you soon.

  17. Hi Stan, if you don't have it we will lend it to you for the first drive. Ever since Covid started, we prefer that each brings their own to avoid sharing gear and it's even mentioned on the first drive post under "what to bring". See you tomorrow.

  24. Hi @Brette I'm a bit confused because in the forum posting for first off-road drive checklist it does not mention the tire deflator, pressure gauge or compressor. Should I still attend tomorrow's drive if I do not have that gear? Thanks, Stan

  27. Always good to spend time in the desert and enjoy the good company and Carnity spirit. Had a great time this morning, although for a moment was wondering if I was in a Carnity Convoy or a Jeeprs one! Thanks @Islam Soliman for fantastic drive as always, regardless of the level! Well done to @Amr Aydin in second lead and @imranaasghar81 sweeping the convoy! We had some great learnings at the beginning how important tyre pressures are, and it isn’t a “one pressure” for all tyres and vehicles. You will learn over time what is right for your car. Good mix of technical and open dunes to continue practicing our skills. Well done to the guys at the front who were on their first or second drive. As Islam explained, over time you will get to know your cars and the balance between steering, gas and momentum. As always, few pictures of the “Majestic jeeps” in the gallery and below a link to article on Compressors for @shailendra singh vilkhu
