  1. https://www.relive.cc/view/v1Ow5WerdXq What an amazing way to end out 2023. Thanks for the help with the pop out and a little digging on the crest. Otherwise a very challenging tech drive that required our laser like focus and attention. All the very best to my friends here for an awesome 2024 ahead.

  2. @Stumpy Paj, @Frans M, @george charbel, @H3 Joe, @Gurcharan Mehta, @W a q a r, @Rk ram, @Emanuel, @Ishak, @Mahmoud Taha, @Pacific Initially when we started we I could see a lot of tracks but soon they disappeared and ours were the only tracks we left behind. As I mentioned it was a Technical Overdoes, but it wasn't really 100% there was a small patch after DP hill I took though less technical areas so that few who had to really work hard at the DP hill can have a breather. It was the slowest drive till date for me. We did less than 50 km in 4 hours (2 hours and 44 mins of drive time, 12.1 kmph average & 17.9 kmph moving). I was driving in most parts with a very light foot on the gas as this drive was all about finding the right line though the technical patches. I made a mistake when I posted this drive. I knew this will take time - but forgot to change the number of hours from my typical 3 to normal 4 hour window; and it could have caused some confusion for some. This was my most satisfying drive at the lead, today I drove to have fun and enjoy. The view from DP Hill was magnificent & breathtaking. The entire Lisaili & Qudra Area in their best. Also the Chimney. Best photo op. Shout out to @Stumpy Paj for best 2nd lead I could ever ask for and @Pacific for doing some surgical recoveries at the sweep. A BIG Thank you all for joining this drive. Wishing all you A Very Happy New Year - many happy drives in the coming year and all the best for 2024.

  6. Awesome drive @Looper . It was throughout a technical drive and kept me focused on what's ahead. Really enjoyed every bit of the drive today. Thanks @Pacific for your support especially with the refusal at the end. Looking forward to more drives like this next year. Happy new year, everyone!

  7. @Vanessa8580@Sreenath G@Ahmed Farouk@Davie Chase@sohinik@GauravSoni@Ahmed Wagdy@Shinebabu@munkybizness@Brette@Gaurav Great to see the signups, and glad to see old friends joining us that we haven't seen a while. Good news: There is no need to deflate, but you will need to engage 4x4 and disable the traction. It will only about 7-8 mins on a dirt track / sabkha until we reach our sit-down point. I hope the skies are clear tonight and there will be no rain. See you all tonight !

  13. Dear team! Please assist me with the following plan. My 7 year old wants to stay up til midnight tomorrow but there’s no way I’m letting him get that late and grumpy. I believe the first fireworks will start at 9. I will be setting my phone to show midnight at that time. Please join me in shouting HAPPY NEW YEAR at 9 pm so I can then put the boy to sleep in the car so I can then enjoy the evening in peace!

  15. The issue I personally see with these is that the driver uses it when trying to communicate and cannot get close enough to the mic, this results in hardly audible comms that the trip lead or support team, or any other member of the convoy for that matter are not really able to hear what is being said. This can obviously lead to safety issues as we rely on good communication via the radios during the drives. so if you have these mounts please take the radio in hand and use it close to your mouth in order that the comms are audible to all. And as @GauravSoni points out it is all too easy to leave it attached to the mount when you exit the car. I always prefer a breakaway lanyard around my neck.
