  1. DRIVE DESCRIPTION Need a quick mid-week night drive? Happy to drive out to Tilal Sweihan? Interested in having a nice sit down tea/coffee before inflating and heading home? If you answered yes to these questions, have I got the drive for you! We will be doing a short blast (2.5 hours max) around Tilal Sweihan and Al Fayah on Tuesday night. After passing the drag race track, we will do some sidies on the big dunes at the south side of this area near the farms, then head west into Fayah. We will stop the convoy towards the end of the drive, and make some coffee and tea whilst looking at the sky and chatting (30 minute break). Don't forget your chair! 2. DRIVE DESCRIPTION On our last outing in this area with @DP1011 back on 27 December 2025, we enjoyed an amazing blend of desert and wadi terrain, but the recent rains had left the sand quite moist, limiting how much we could truly play on the dunes. This time, we’ll skip the wadi section altogether and focus purely on the long, inviting dune stretches we spotted during that drive—the ones that looked too good to ignore but weren’t in the right condition that day. With the sand now expected to be much drier and more forgiving, we’re heading back for a dedicated dune‑thrill session, hoping to finally enjoy the full potential of those beautiful lines and smooth climbs. 4. An unforgettable desert drive with Carnity today. My father visiting from Malaysia experienced his first desert off road adventure and it was truly a lifetime memory for both of us. The magic of Ghafeteen Bowl pushed everyone to give their maximum to reach the top pure thrill and determination. Congrats to @ChrisW on his 100th drive and thank you for the donuts and karaks. Appreciation to @Frederic and @J-P L for leading such a fantastic experience.

  7. DRIVE DESCRIPTION Hello and welcome to Carnity Night Drives. Few points worth mentioning here regarding desert driving at night, more to be emphasized and reminded during the brief at the meeting point:- 1. No need for offroad lights except for car number 1 . If you have them, that’s ok to use them unless the front car asks kindly to let it off. All you need is to follow strictly the front car. The high beam stock lights/fog lights are adequate for convoy trips 2. Always see where you step ( hand torch or headlight ) during inflation, deflation, and during the breaks. 3. Try to avoid the bushes when out of the car. 4. It’s highly recommended to have your legs and feet covered, as creepers like exposed feet and legs 😅 5. Always carry your radio wherever you go. 6. The speed and distance between cars fall in half of that during a daylight drive ( will talk more in the brief ) 7. Desert driving rules hold valid and are more emphasized here as we are bound with limited visibility. Last but not least, night drives are a different world to explore and experience. It’s nice, cool, and it’s another level of enjoyment. Once you master it, I assure you that you will be able to see without seeing, and to you, the darkness will become as clear as the daylight. “ MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquettes Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities DRIVE DETAILS Level: Fewbie and above (all levels) Meeting time: 10 pm Meeting Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/7tTShahbeB3YCDgZA?g_st=ic Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. 9. Hi, thanks for prompting this update @_Piotr_ You dont need any offroad lights for this drive.. just your normal lights will be fine.. high beam is even better. Please bring a head torch or a light so that you can inflate easily afterwards,.. there may or may not be ambient lighting, but a torch or something will help. Most importantly! Bring a chair to sit around on and chat while we make a cup of coffee before the drive home! I will make some espresso in a moka pot... but you should BYO tea or coffee if you can

  10. Wow🥳. I am in for my first night drive. Luke, I don’t have special lights on my Raptor. I will take with me charged flash light and headlamp. If anything more is needed let me know. Looking forward to this drive.

  13. Thank you all again for joining us this morning! We all met up on time and it was clear to me from the start that everyone was eager to dip their toes into the sands of Nahel / Sweihan. As typical for a Newbie level drive, we try to choose an area that's not too much occupied with other convoys or cross tracks. This worked out quite well as this area was very quiet. Some vegetation was there but nothing that we couldn't handle. A couple of dunes inside we saw a brave soldier appearing (insert theme of Raiders of the Lost Ark here...) @Imran Asghar who had enough of his couch and decided to join us for the morning desert run. A bit later @Zubail announced he was losing pressure quickly and his ship was sinking. There was some sand stuck in-between the rim and the tire. Thanks to @ChrisW and his mobile workshop, we lifted the car, deflated the tire to ZERO psi 😆 and cleaned the rim bead with water and eventually also with a blast of compressed air. This did the trick and the tire held up fine for the remainder of the drive. As the weather was so great, @ChrisW brought out the donuts and karak to celebrate his 100th drive today. A fantastic achievement! Your commitment, skillset, and superb guidance to the newbies was a blessing today. I hope to see you as an emerging lead very soon! As time had gone so fast, my original plan of heading West towards Sweihan itself was modified a bit, and we looped back to go and say good morning to Ghafeteen Bowl, which never disappoints. We all took some run-ups and took some nice convoy shots. @J-P L was brilliant in the sweep and showed that even the mighty Jimney can rescue a big Expedition. All in all, the guys in the front who were on their first couple of drives managed brilliantly this morning. I was really impressed with all of you. The smiles at the end of the drive said everything @nithish468 you did fantastic as second lead. Keeping enough distance and polishing my tracks where needed. Thanks buddy! Feel free to add some photos in our gallery: Newbie - Nahel - Abu-Dhabi - 22 Feb 2026 - Carnity.com Wikiloc | AUH-Nahel Newbie Trail See you all soon in the sand again!
