  3. @Barry I just heard that some schools weren't opened last week and will be opening from tomorrow. So add 10 more minutes in your calculation and some more good music in your iPhone.

  4. in October of last year, I eagerly wanted to gain a bit more confidence to explore the desert in a safe way, after looking for a suitable ride and falling in love with my little ‘ol blue 99. My friend who joined me during the newbie drive that day couldn’t for the love of the world grasp why we would want to toil in sweat and sand on a day off, but i was sold from day one, and the camaraderie and help I got from the start onwards makes every ride REALLY something to look forward too (believe me if I say that nothing else would get me out of bed at 3am....😂). Looking forward to many many more drives to come, karak chai to sip, parathas to eat, and laughs to be had ! A heartful thanks to all people who attended the drives together and the seniors who took me under their wings.

  15. Welcome to the daily fight and road struggles buddy. I consider myself a very patient driver, but sometimes bite into my steering wheel from all the idiots I see on the road and do not seem to grasp the ability to: - stay in their lane - take a roundabout like they should - leave their phone alone for 5 mins - tailgating others and think that’s normal - thinking that their bigger car does NOT mean we should move for them. I gladly take a longer route every day via the E611 that takes me 15 mins longer to reach, but without too much stress.

  16. Let's play a small game like dumb charades for guessing the offroad driver based on clues and hints provided. Rules: One driver at a time to be discussed, so that every other offroaders can make a guess. Clue to be specific and not just good driver etc. but it should be less revealing so that game remains entertaining. Asker can give any number of clues in following attempts, but not on the first go. Game is not limited to Marshals and crew but open to all offroaders we have in Carnity offroad club. Clues can be good or bad or funny but not humiliating or disrespectful. I hold the right to edit or delete any comment that violate with above rules Guess the offroad driver: Never respond on the first radio call, maybe on 2nd or 3rd attempt, if you are lucky.

  21. I gotta drop my kid to school in Dubai from Sharjah. If you know the roads and even which Lanes on which roads to be on. They you'll be alright. Takes me 25 ish minutes to reach school. Earlier I use to drop my missus to work in Barsha from Sharjah. And that didn't take more than 40-45mins but I bypassed the city with what was then called the bypass road. During rush hours avoid shk Zayed, MBZ and dxb shj roads

  22. I'm blessed. Shifting did the trick. It used to take me minimum 75 minutes to reach work after paying all Salik, from my new place it takes me 35 minutes with all the school buses on the roll.

  23. Nice Metro description - with worlds longest sentence. And School hours are crushing everyone. That's why I dont plan to leave office or home during school bus hours, it simply double up the traffic on road and slow down the usual flow.

  24. Very nice review and very useful for tons of offroader including myself who has been looking, trying and hoping to find one good offroad gps to beat motion x. I love motion x but im still using old iphone 6 and wanted to try android gps on my note due to bigger screen. I will try this and share my review, soon. Btw, Motionx is not free either, Its 7.29 AED to install and 17 AED for custom maps. I believe this 17 is for lifetime as I vaguely remember paying them once and after that I haven't paid them again. Anyone having iPhone, must use Motion X it's worth its price in GOLD.
