  1. Plus you can also buy extended warranty contracts after the original warranty expires
  2. I was going to suggest Henry too, but Barry beat me to it!
  3. Make the tree huggers all warm and fuzzy on the inside thinking they've saved the planet with their pathetic tampon on wheels
  4. Tahoe any day of the week and twice on Sunday. This whole realibilty thing is now just nothing but a myth now. Jap cars have just about as much electrickery than anything else and neither is maintenance or parts any cheaper. Tahoe much more roomier much more options a better ride and wasn't hit by every branch on the ugly tree on it ways down like the Land Cruiser. Tahoe is a solid cruiser and many in safaris also use this and i know some that are over 250k Plus kms and still look and drive great. I will also thrown in the Toyota Sequoia in this mix. That thing is big and comfortable and the engine on that is super bitchin 0-100 in just over 6 secs can smoke most sedans and So called sports coupes in a straight line drag, with 3rd row seats which can actually seat 2 adults comfortably. Also look into the Nissan Armada. Going cheap nowadays and Sequoia standards to boot
  5. Precisely, if they were that bad, you wouldn't see more Range Rovers here on the road today as you see yellow cabs in New York. I can hardly break even my budget and yet I've been driving Range Rovers for the last 10 years and wont drive anything else. Let's just say I rather drive a 20 year old Range Rover with 300k on the clock than a 2017 0'km Toyota Fortuner. Driving a Jap ecobox usually means you've given up on life and might as well be dead
  6. Quick Registration in Ghusais open 24/7 365 days a year
  7. This is not a spy shot, this escalade is pretty famous in Dubai, surprised no one knows about it, it called the Yeezy car. It's supposed to resemble a pair of Yeezy sneakers by Kanye West. Belongs to a rich Emarati 14yr old kid Rashid from the Bel Hasa family. He also goes by the name of Money Kicks, also has a YouTube channel with that name where the escalade can be seen in many if his videos. Kid has a huge and very expensive sneaker collection as well as a private zoo in Al Aweer. http://media.dishnation.com/content/uploads/2015/06/yeezy-boost-350.jpeg
  8. /Biased Opinion/ I think more than anything and I can say this because I've owned a few LRs and still do and having driven almost everything 4x4 available in this country from the most posh to the most junky ride, is that LR has that one thing, that majority of other cars don't have, character and if I dare to say, a soul. Maybe RD will agree with me, as you can see him still reminisce about his old beat up Disco. LRs are somehow just more than vehicles, think of them as old grump uncle bob you only see on x-mas, he's always drunk, throws up on your new carpet, curses everyone, eats all the good food and just a general all round nuisance, but you still love him to bits and would never think of getting rid of him.
  9. And RD these G wagons really hold their value well, doubt you'll be able to get it for that much even then!
  10. Yeah Barry probably saw the 4x4sq Easy to tell by its portal axels
  11. Why not just go for an active subwoofer, active means it comes with its own built in amp, and is probably the best match combo of amp and woofer, taking out all the guess work out of the equasion and saving on wiring and space which is at a premium in your Jero Something like this http://uae.souq.com/ae-en/jbl-gto-751ez-mono-subwoofer-amplifier-with-750-watts-rms-10293589/i/
  12. I dunno what happened, if anything at all. But I really don't know why people make it such a big deal, having rolled over 3 times, (twice I was victim being pulled from a side stuck) It's a sport and like any other sport their is risk of injury and damage. It's a risk we all take, but you have more chances of getting into an accident while going to the desert while actually driving in the desert. How many accidents in the deserts vs on road? This alone should tell you its a very safe sport. Mostly because sand is soft, and usually low speeds, although I think I hold a record of some sort at having flipped off road while doing 120kph. My old young blood days nowadays I hardly hit that speed on road!
  13. Zeibart next to Galadari/Mazda showroom besides Dubai Airport
  14. I know a dude who has two CT discos and one of them is the one you showed me garhoud which had been sitting in the driveway for a few years and was in a sorry state and just FYI. The actual CT D1s which took part in the event are Worth a small fortune today and were are diesel. The ones we see are dealer replicas made to look like CT D1s P.S : Sorry for the shitty grammar for some reason I cannot edit the post from my mobile
  15. When we bought new Cars for our safari company we would just do the required 1000kms break in service as a precaution before putting it on 365 days a year safari duty. So having done 20k it should be fine, but be ready to have a big heart as nothing is for granted in the desert even on newbie drives. I remember doing a newboe drive with E4x4 and a first timer lost his entire rear bumper of his mitsu outlander, 300mtrs in. Never saw hin again!
  16. Get a Google Chromecast install kodi and away you go
  17. Buy a set, it's a one time investment which will pay for it self many times over. If you can change a tire you can change a spark plug.
  18. Everyone I know who has tried these have ended up ripping them after one or two uses. Maybe good for light vehicles and pickups but AFAIK useless for fullsized 4x4s
  19. Can I also join this newbie drive. I also want to learn how to drive offroad
  20. I'm old skook man and believe in what Carol Shelby said There is no replacement for displacement. Hence not a fan of quad turbo'ed 1.3 ltr ricers putting out a gazillion hp.
  21. Well you learn something new everyday, never heard of color tunes before, seem like an awesome tool to have.
