The Discovery @Gaurav is describing is a Series II Discovery which he had, it ended production in 2004. From 2005 onwards the LR 3s and 4s are a totally different beast. They dont share a singe screw or nut among them. So unfortunately the entire post is incorrect regarding LR3s and 4s.

Just like the Land Cruiser 100 series and 200 series are two complete different car. Although in their case they might share some running gear.

    Now I am more confused.

Im driving this car since 3 years now and I have saved quite a lot of money for long time to upograde my civic to 2 door accord - my dream car. Although it might not sound very fancy to the luxurious segment car owner but i belive for the common mass this is a top end car we can afford and having a coup is an added luxury.

Price: 130,000 AED (when new in 2014)

Bought for: 105,000 AED (In 2015)

    Pros

    - Awesome styling from wheels to the body
    - Great on road presence among its league
    - Very reliable and capable car overall
    - Responsive handling and comfortable ride
    - Top notch safety ratings and awesome cabin
    - 4.7 rating out of 279 reviews

    Cons

    - Back seat not good for 6 feet size adult
    - Honda parts are little expensive than others
    - Starter failure - known problem
    - Comes with pathetic tires, so change is needed
    - Lane watch should be on both sides
    - 3.5 is thirsty in city but on highway with ECON mode is very nice and reasonale

Although Honda Accord is a top choice for families, but many opting for serious upgrade from current entry level sedan chooses the Accord. It's 2 door coupe is among the most sportier option available from Honda with a very capable and responsive engine. I have never felt short of power when I really need to push this car for limits from zero stand still. For the great styling and road presence i can confidently say that it is the best looking japanese car in town. I hear that earlier than 2012 model gear was an issue, but this model so far has no issues on the cvt gearing and runs and drive perfect. I have completed almost 60,000 kms on this car and have not regretted this buy even for one day or one hour, it is the best thing I have done so far as im in love with this car, reliability, looks, performance, handling, boot space, fuel economy. ECO mode is good for highway to get good fuel mileage, if you use that in city car is less responsive and in case you hit throttle hard then car will jitter a bit to switch of econ and comes back to original 3.5 liter response.

The electronic adjustments could be more user friendly. I'm not an electronics person and don't care otherwise, but the system can be quirky. Mechanically, no complaints so far, haven't been in for anything more than routine maintenance and a recall regarding the battery sensor. I will highly advise changing out the factory tires as soon as you can because you'll be replacing them by 30,000 kms anyway. Car is perfectly roomy for 5 adults...plenty of leg room in the rear seating. Trunk is roomy, but entry could be wider.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend this vehicle to friends and family, and Hondas in general. Can't go wrong!

Two of the best video reviews I searched to add more value for next buyer.

Yes Its a 2 In One Beauty And The Beast. Parts as you mentioned are expensive even the surplus ones. Honda is Honda with all the Pros and Cons. Nice Drive through Out

  3. I really think it's about the Driver whose driving his experience driving a 4x4 or a saloon Lexus LS430 In a desert. New 4x4 Autos are great. Manual are fun. I had a Manual I know I might be a worst off-roader but it was fun. Auto is shift and accelerate. Manual is Manual. You think for the car not vice versa. End of the day You enjoy your ride and Love your Car. Most important.

After a bit of research, I’ve found out the engine is a D2EA-CA and it was produced on February 14th 1973. So it’s 45 years old tomorrow. Happy birthday Mr Cleveland.

@Barry its a great car. I have my doubts with a Mustang engine and also other power parts used. Fuel tank is beer KEG. Will it be safe in uae summer as even as few km. Unless you use RED HORSE rather than petrol. Seriously.

@Danny with all due respect, this is not the way you need to address anyone on such friendly forum. Please learn to show some respect, even when you don't agree to other's point of view. Challenge it professionally than just with these kind of insulting comments.

Peugeot produced some fantastic cars in the late 80's and 90's, the 205 1.9 GTi, 405 Mi16, 306 GTi-6 etc. They acquired a bad reputation circa 2001-2006 due to poorly made cars and electrical problems. Now, they're back on their game again and producing quality cars but the problem is reputations stick and not as many people are willing to give them a chance. It's a bit like Volkswagen/Audi where it's the complete opposite. People think they're good cars because they were good in the 80's and had massive rallying success with the S1 and S2 Quattro but these days, it's a different story, they're overpriced and unreliable.

@Barry I want to buy 206 R/C COUPE can you advice 2009 model.

    Hi Guys,

Im new in this forum, i need to contribute my experience based on this topic.

What i feel as a starter  its better to go for Auto than Manual. In Offroad  Manual gear need expertise which develops  on driving experience where and when to put which gear.  Whereas in Auto you just simply drive and enjoy.

Right on! Welcome to Carnity Family. I drive a manual and fully agree with you. I am Amateur at it Offroad only.

  9. I drove porshe cayenne (drove not owned) and Lexus LX, Cayenne has the interior look, hand stitched leather and all fitting of luxury Room, LX  also has feel of Comfort, My Old kia Sorento was full option top of range was comfortable with less than half the price of both the cars. MY pajero gives me a feel of a car which I love. Never sat in Rolls or Bents or Range so can't comment.  I think car should give a feeling of a car not a luxurious hotel room.  UNLESS ????? (Use your imagination to answer that ). Car is a Car. Some people use them as status Symbols. Not to along ago (1998) my Dad gifted me Caprice SS Impala  Black 1998 model. The Power the Comfort and the Drive of that Car I miss till date too bad it got Cancelled due a bad accident and I did'nt even know what happened till i got out of car and saw what happened (safety features) Now that is What I miss in Cars of Today.

  10. I sure love to Join in later maybe can't promise anything send me your location and I will try. @Barry I know my engine was build by best engine builder in the world but my monster has other parts to be fixed. Shock absorber and steering oil leak. That best mechanic is on Vacation. So when he's I need to do some other stuff to the car too. Remember "CAR DOES NOT DRIVE ON ENGINE ALONE". Diamond 3:16
