I was very excited about this drive since it was just 3 cars . No way was going to miss this opportunity to meet and get to know @Mehmet Volga @Salim Akhtar as it’s Easier to talk and learn from each other in such short convoy. @mehmet, great route. I had never driven the car in such deep bowls before… as much as it was scary it was exciting as well… After that jump was a bit more cautious towards the end though😊. look forward to the pictures and videos… my phone doesn’t have a camera so couldn’t capture any of the actions !! thanks again and see you in sand soon !!

Wheel unbalance after desert drive.
VipinShetty replied to VipinShetty's topic in Jeep Grand Cherokee Forum in UAE
I haven’t suffered any pop outs, but to clear any doubts I did remove the Tyres off the rim and checked... no sand. the desert takes away my balance weights 😅 and then there is vibration... -
Wheel unbalance after desert drive.

@Zed @Rob Harper thanks for your advise, I will check as per your posts and come back! -
I drive a 2019 grand Cherokee trail hawk with 18 inch wheels and BFG Tyres. From past 3 desert drives, the balance weights on wheel gets lost causing high vibrations after drive and this would have me take the car to the service shop for wheel balancing which is a pain and not worth. While this may not be limited to my car, I am interested to learn from the community members if they have experienced anything like this and what do you do to overcome the issue of wheel unbalance after a desert drive. thanks!

@Alex Sidorov, If it’s a long dune climb I turn off the AC ... windows remain closed in my car even though it gets hot just to save me from cleaning the interiors again 😅 sand gets in very easily .... Learning from @Brette, I try to keep the car in 2nd and 3rd most of the time, unless a challenging dune. sometimes I Feel with the AC on I’d have to downshift sooner and often, btw I use manual/ paddle shifters as Sand mode tries to maintain the car always on higher revs ... which just puts extra strain on engine cooling system... in my opinion.
