  1. Thanks everyone for the great drive. Thanks @Rizwan Waheed for the tug.

Thanks @Brette for the very balanced mixture of technical dunes and play area. My son is generally fine with long loops and technical but does not react well to short side slooping of newbie at Qudra.

I was so happy was so happy  that I did not struggle like the previous drive. Going down to 10psi made a world of difference.

  2. This is the problem when decisions are made by financial spreadsheets and not listening/aware of  the needs and wants of consumers.

Nissan could have offered both engine variants. The 2.5 for mall crawlers and bigger engine for dune climbers. Nissan already has Pathfinder and x trail as AWD. No need to add Xterra to the list.

  3. Same for me

It was the pandemic, lack of options for external activities, inability to travel etc, made me seek out for alternative entertainment. I start in June/July and was my weekly activity and I enjoyed it immensely.

  4. Good to see a small troop of FJCs slowing building up.

I have driven with @Ahab Shamaa and his FJC look mean and very capable.

@Niki Patel To your question, I agree that you can opt to perform an oil and filter change every 5k before your next scheduled service with Al-Futtaim.

I have been servicing my car every 5k km given that it takes a long time for me to the next service interval.

  5. @Wrangeld It was a great drive. My second trip to Margham this week. The first one was on Wednesday this week and both drives were different. I certainly learnt how to use the A-Trac for the first time and boy it was amazing.  It was kind of you to share your knowledge and tricks during the pop out incident too. It was certainly useful.

During the drive,  I watched the 2 topless Wrangle in front of me who made things look so effortless less and easy. But my driving position in front of the CF allowed me to benefit from the  guidance of both @Veedooshee and @Anish S

The mixture of terrain and challenges was great. Just a bit bumpy at some certain sections.

That's a very good contender too, if you can get the clean one. Any day better than Pajero, Prado and Wranglers tbh.

BUT it should be 2012 and upward with 4800 VTEC Engine. And  NOT with 4.5 Engine.

Another good contender could be FJ Cruiser, known and proven for years.

As a FJ user, I must say that whilst I enjoy the drive, engine and a little bit of extra space compared to a SWB, the lack of visibility of the front windscreen is its biggest flaw.

  7. Thanks @Foxtrot Oscar and the rest of the convoy members for your patience due to my constant refusals. I lost count. I probably had at least 10!!!  Even my son asked me why I am struggling so much today. However, after getting some really useful tips from @Brette  (many thanks!) and upon deflating further, it is as if I have 4 new wheels and it was really enjoyable. Also special shout out to @Gaurav Soni for holding position whilst waiting for me to clear my refusals.

Overall, it was still a very enjoyable drive for me notwithstanding the challenges.   The winter weather and mixture of terrain was great!
