  1. Many thanks @DP1011, @Frederic, @Benjamin, @Mike M.. I had a gain in conquering technical dunes with the tip of the iceberg having a 50% pop-out? :D I would keep my donuts for myself or bring real ones for everyone.

Thanks for helping and for the Santa Clause experience, will definitely be remembering this drive. I loved the positive energy of everyone.

Thanks for all the rest of the convoy making it funny and nice

Murquab has a nice combination of some rolling dunes (veggie-free) with some areas that carry some vegetation. Face it @Dan Sthe desert is becoming greener and greener 😁

Hhahah, wonderful, thank you for your funny replies. Some greenery in our life is never enough, depending where and how. But i think the desert, at least, should not be touched :D

  3. Gentlemen, my most amazing ride inside the deserts was this one until now.

First time in Liwa and just WOW, incredible dunes, just like you see in the movies and you might think they are not real.

Many thanks to @Kailas and @GauravSoni leading and sweeping and helping. Very good job!!

It was challenging and not for the faint of heart but I had so much fun, some bumps that could not be avoided due to different colors of the desert made my front bumper retract inside of the car with 5 cm on the left but hard aluminum did not break in any way :D only bent the steel plates where the bumper is fixed

Thank you for the rest of the convoy also!

Looking forward to see you next time!

Dear @GauravSoni I am soooo loooking forward for the phootoss :D

    Welcome dune surfers!

    @Mahesh_ @Dan S @Waqar Sarwar @Gautam Banka @Faraz94 @Marek_was003 @Sreenath G @Deepak Eswar

it’s been sometime that we revisited and rebooted the Skill drive series.. as the drive topic suggests, we would be having a close look at a very important and essential skill of side sloping… please ensure you are rested and Cara ready for the drive tomorrow morning.
please be on time and deflated and ready to move by 6.45 AM..

please check again the Google pin location, it should be on a sabka on an internal road from Faqa to Solar park. We have instances of drivers going towards Qudra Damac hills in past…

     See you all tomorrow morning!

Hi Gaurav, I assume that we can easily take the following road without deflating, is that correct?

Hi @Dan S - the original idea is available in YouTube, search for "The Wifey Air System", the basic set up is a compressor feeding 4 lines through a manifold, a valve, a pressure gauge etc.  While researching the parts I decided to add the tank and the remaining parts to safely operate it.

The 2nd compressor is optional, I added it because fuses were being blown frequently in my first compressor installation, but later I found out that the installation was done incorrectly the garage (they even used wires of wrong capacity, I was lucky I did not get a fire as it was a big mess).

As to the parts: I had one compressor and got a used one that was later refurbished, the remaining parts were sourced through Amazon (AE and US).  The Viaair tank is available locally and through Amazon (AE).  If time permits I will try to put a list and share it.

In terms of getting the job done: I was lucky to find a small "boutique" garage that had started operations, they had time and a good electrician that did the cleanest installation I've seen so far. Unfortunately I cannot recommend you anymore than research for garages that focus on projects for overlanding and for you to design the system to your specs, discuss it with the garage and scrutinize every step, and then test the system thoroughly until you are satisfied.

    Hope this helps!

Many thanks Mario for your help and clear explanations, I am happy that you got it sorted out in the end! I assume that is quite nice to inflate all 4 tires in the same time :D

Hi @Dan S you need the tank to create the pressure. I have a Viaair 20L tank under the car, fed by two twin compressors. You need to install check valves (to prevent the high pressure back into the compressors) and a safety valve set a pressure lower than the tank maximum pressure rating.

Another alternative, depending on your air filter setup, get 2 dry-filters and exchange them, one for off road and one for city.  Look for cotton based elements, which you can carefully wash and dry.

Many thanks Mario for your reply, did you collaborated with anyone to install those 2 twin compressors and air tank to the car? what was the total budget for this work/garage used?

Yes I agree with you, the 2nd engine air filter is a good approach for clean and good air for your engine.

  7. Dears,

By any chance, anybody, had the possibility to convert his battery powered tyre compressor to achieve a small air gun capability? I would like to have the chance to blow up the air from my engine or similar locations after each drive and not spending too much in adding a permanent air tank system to the car.

Any ideas what we can do in this matter?

    Thank you in advance!
