2010 Chevrolet Cruze Review

Recommended Posts

The Cruze is Chevrolet’s new compact sedan designed from the ground up.

It is a crucial global model that is part of GM’s strategy of making modern, fuel-efficient cars that appeal to the youth as well as to the mature buyer. The Cruze was intended to replace the Optra, compared to which it offers more of in most areas including performance, comfort and prestige. Also, its reasonable price makes it good value and an attractive proposition in today’s uncertain economic times.

The Cruze’s design is bold, dynamic and a clear departure from the bland styling of previous generation Chevrolets. The big split grille with the Chevy bow tie, sharp peeled back headlamps, sporty front bumper and aggressive crease lines give the Cruze its distinctive appeal.

The interiors too are chic and modern, decked with premium grade materials. Legroom is generous both front and rear and the Cruze can seat five in modest comfort with their luggage stowed away in its 400-litre boot. The contemporary wraparound dashboard has a premium touch and feel to it while the seats are wide and supportive.

The Cruze is powered by a 1.8-litre, 140bhp engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Available in three trim versions – LS, LT and LT Premium – the Cruze offers plenty of equipment to keep its occupants comfortable and safe. Standard features include power windows and locks, keyless entry, CD/MP3 audio system and dual front airbags.

The top end LT Premium comes loaded with additional features like power sunroof, rear parking assist, climate control, cruise control, leather multifunction steering, start button, 17-inch alloy wheels, side airbags and ABS.
