What better way than to spend your NYE evening together with your Carnity Buddies and enjoy the Fireworks (if possible)?

 

Sit back, relax, and bring your snacks, BBQ, drinks, and share your stories and experiences of the past year with us.

Feel free to bring your friends, families and kids with their age-specific toys or games to enjoy brilliant outdoor activities.

Please bring your own:

• Food / Grill / Cooking and serving arrangements.
• Drinks and Ice (of course).
• Chairs / Mats / Camping Gear if you want to camp overnight.

Track for early exit or late joiners: New Year 2024 Track.gpx

"DEFLATE" to 12 - 14 PSI as last 2-3 km is proper dunes with a little climb.

 

Camping:

You are free to bring your tent and camping gear to stay overnight. Bring sleeping bags/extra blankets as it gets pretty cold at night.

Fireworks:

We will be expecting to have a decent view on the Global Village & Downtown Fireworks at midnight (hopefully).

No littering:

Please leave nothing but footsteps behind in the desert. Keep it clean. Bring plenty of garbage bags.

Bring your own BBQ, no direct fire allowed on the sand. 

Bonfire:

We will arrange a big bonfire in a suitable firepit.

Hi Mahesh, you are most welcome to invite your friends and families as long as they know how to drive on sand. 

NOT FIT FOR ABSOLUTE NEWBIE, but even with 1 drive sand experience will be fine.

Meeting location, gathering point and track updated above. The track is absolutely flat over 95% area, last 2-3 kms is proper dunes, that need deflation and a bit of sand driving experience.

Hello Gurav i have invited my family to Join but unfortunately they have never driven in the desert before is it  possible to take a road without crossing dunes or we can just drive in and if possible to drop me back out to take them in they already have a 4x4 LR4

Hi Jean, I don't fully understand your message.

There is no way we can take the road to reach the gathering point, as explained in the main post.

Hence last 2-3 kms is unavoidable to reach the gathering point.

If they have never driven in sand last 2-3 km of dune at night will not be safe for them.

I see your profile shows 5 drive experience, so can you get those members in your car and leave their car at the end of the flat track, close to farm entry.

Would it be worth agreeing a radio channel?
That way, anyone arriving late or needing help can radio the group.

There's a chance I might be late, but it depends on my BBQ delivery and Amazon 😅

Yes Im posting convoy order with radio channel shortly.

It will be a quick short drive, but it's better to stick to convoy order due to night time.

We will use Radio Channel 8: 446.181'25

Anyone wish to come late, simply follow the track posted above. Once entering the sand, tune to channel 8 for coordination.

DEFLATE TIRES FOR SAND, If you get stuck with 30 psi, recovery will be offered next year.

• Regular 12-14 PSI deflation is fine for sand.
