DRIVE DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Carnity off road club FB+ drive, meeting at Badayer. Please ensure your off-road gear is as per your rank and you bring lots of enthusiasm with you.

We request every member that joins this drive to go through the information below and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquette and responsibilities.

DRIVE DETAILS

Level:  FB+ and above
When: 19 Jan 2025, Sunday
Meeting time:  7:00 AM - Sharp

Approximate finish time: 10:00 AM
Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.
What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

RECOMENDED OFF-ROAD GEAR:

• Tire deflator & Tire pressure gauge
• Compressor (MANDATORY)
• Walkie-talkie radio (MANDATORY)
• Off-road flag (MANDATORY)
• Shovel, Tow Rope & 2 Shackles (MANDATORY)
• First-aid kit 
• Fire extinguisher. (MANDATORY)

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

• This drive is limited to 10 cars only. RSVP will close on Saturday- 12 PM.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Thank you very much @Simon D for an amazing drive today,  it was my first Fewbie Plus drive.   @Rob S our second lead,  it was so nice watching you from behind and I truly enjoyed following you everywhere.   Thank you Simon for putting me in 3rd position. Cracking drive today @Simon D, thanks for great morning out and hope the car is back in the sand soon!

Its been a while since being SL but it was grest fun at the front! Well drive @Haneef Thayyil, I had no idea it was your first fewbie+, you drove really well! 

One or two entertaining refusals / recoveries with support team helping both support and leads with some great crestings! Slighlty more challenging recovery for @khlief when ending up at an awkward angle in the slightly heavy/wet sand under the top layer. We managed to position the car with blipblip throttle and lots of left and right steering and shoveling, then slow delicate pull with kinetic rope. 

As always Badayer is often heavily tracked so well done to everyone for Steering down when momentum is lost and controlling their decent.
