DRIVE DETAILS

Level:  Fewbie Plus and above
When: 2 February 2025, Saturday
Meeting time:  7:00 AM - Sharp
Meeting Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/eTX8wtibrfhsXS6D6
Approximate finish time: 11:00 AM
Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.
What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

RECOMENDED OFF-ROAD GEAR:

• Tire deflator & Tire pressure gauge
• Compressor (MANDATORY)
• Walkie-talkie radio (MANDATORY)
• Off-road flag (MANDATORY)
• Shovel, Tow Rope & 2 Shackles
• First-aid kit
• Fire extinguisher

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

• This drive is limited to 10 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 12 PM.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Dear Desert Drivers, 

We have a big attendance for the FB+ drive on Saturday morning, but we will most likely be able to have  2 convoys thanks to @Looper.

So wait list members, stay tuned and don't change your plans, we will confirm tomorrow morning.

Of course if you have already other plans, let us know ahead, so that we can organise accordingly.

Last updates for the drive tomorrow. As we have 2 convoys please consider the indications below:

For Convoy 1 (Jerome), please meet on the left of the track, for Convoy 2 (Looper), please meet on the right of the track.

For Convoy 1, @Glenn W @frederic demolder @Mike M. @Hani crest king @khlief @Giacomo @Zulfikhar Naiyar @Deepak Eswar @Frans M @Waqaɾ the convoy order will be

We will use Carnity Channel 5.

For Convoy 2 @Looper @Joji varghese @Andrei S @Rajiv Sam @Michael asir @Bjoern @Rob S  the convoy order and frequency will be defined at the meeting point. 

Depending on the effective attendance tomorrow morning, we might slightly re-arrange the convoy's assignments.

Please make sure to remove any unnecessary item from the back seat and trunk area, and secure correctly your off road gear.

Enjoy the evening, take a good rest, and see you all tomorrow morning.

Hi @Sherry Jacob. Your name was not on the waitlist. However, as we have now 2 convoys, you can still join for tomorrow.

For all of you who are coming on truck Road, the exit towards Sweihan is closed so go towards Abu Dhabi and you will find a U-turn towards Sweihan

Thanks @Looper and rest of the convoy for the wonderful drive today… though we had to cut short early due to multiple car issues, the short taste of intermediate was well worth it… as for my car’s sound, took to workshop drive shaft is the culprit… should be ready to hit the dunes by next week..
