Morning Newbie Desert Drive - Nahel North - Dubai - 22 Mar 2025

First time with Carnity Off-road Club:

• Please share your vehicle details - Make, Model, Color, and Year.
• Do you have any prior off-road experience? If yes, pls share details.
• Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks/eyelets.
• Advise if you don’t have a programmable radio and safety flag.

Drive Details

Level:  Newbie and above (all levels)

Meeting time: 6:45 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions)

Meeting Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/f8nSRBXb24ryGTvm8

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face mask, rubber gloves, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Approximate finish time: 10:45 AM

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE:

• This drive is limited to 12 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 6 PM.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Please make sure that your car is ready for the adventure, your radio fully charged, your flag fitting to the car. Check also the inside and remove unnecessary items from the passenger and trunk areas, and make sure that your off road gear is securely fasten.

Take a look at your route to the meeting point. 

Coming from Dubai, you have 2 main options

- E66 / E20 This is the preferred option

- E611 / E75 (Truck Rd) / E16 / E20. On this itinerary, the junction E75 - E16 was blocked last week, and may still be blocked.

If this second option still works better for you, there is a detour as per the below scheme:

Hi @JeromeFJ, it seems that there might be a newly added fewbie drive on Sunday. Therefore i’m gonna withdraw my RSVP from this drive before you fix the convoy order.

Noted @Abdullah A., enjoy the other drive. However, check the timing. I think they have added a drive on Saturday (not Sunday)

Hi @JeromeFJ Seeing that I am comming 120km's from Dubai, I am planning to come with my SVT Raptor instead of my TJ. Would the Dunes be ok for my Long Wheel base in this area? Longer sloping or short & bumpy? Regards, Lukas

i think the long wheelbase will be fine in nahel.
absolute worst case we get out the shovel once or twice
