khandelwal
Hey people. I recently bought a new car. I don’t want to spend much on the maintenance, thus I want to know what things i should take care of so that I can avoid any high maintenance or any severe damage to the car. khandelwal
First thing that you need to take care is engine. Always get the motor oil change time to time in order to avoid any leak from the old motor oil. If you maintain the interval of changing motor oil, that gives you the proper and smooth drive every time without any break down or severe damage. Second, take proper care of your brakes. After several drives, one needs to change the brake pads before the brakes become soft and lead you to an accident. DO not avoid the replacement of brake pads because it may be very dangerous in further.

khandelwal
Good points covered. I would also like to add the cooling system maintenance as well. Sometimes driver experience overheated engine while driving. This happens because of the leaking of the coolant from the reservoir. And if any of the parts in the engine get damaged, it is not fixable and thus you will end up paying for the replacement which is cost you good money. So to avoid that, keep your cooling system in the car maintained.
khandelwal
Don’t forget the car tyres. After 100,000 miles, the car tyres are bound to wear and tear. Before the car starts wobbling, just get your tyres scanned every time you go to the service centre.
tenace
You should do a visual check at a professional repair shop after 5.000 miles. After about 15.000 - 20.000 miles change all the filters and of course perform another visual check.
