gear issue

i have a 1991 pathfinder which has 3 liter engine with 240,000on it

i have not driven the car for over a year and when i started engine it shifted fine.

but after running for sometime the car would not shift into any other gears and when shift the Gear in R it goes forward when i shift to P it still goes forward

Your car gear solenoid gone crazy, better put on recovery and take to mechanic who can replace the same from scrap or new one as per your affordability.
