Thanks@Gaurav. I have tried and tested many maps for off road use on android but none of them come any close to Motion X. Unfortunately this app does not exist on Android and is for IOS only. Finally the other day I stumbled on ViewRanger and this allowed me to save the track you send me in KMZ format. I was able to change it as route and it allowed me to follow the track while on the drive. I still am not sure how to read the terrain on ViewRanger and my other thing is the screen keeps timing out. Other then that it's been a relief to have a half good app as it can only develop for the better. Hope this helps.

Use Google Satelite, it's crispy clear on 16 x zoom level. In some area, it has an overlap of images and discolors from one tiled image to another but still, dunes formation is fully readable. If you can't read dunes now, then I am sure after few drives and comparing the phone screen to real life dunes in front you, you will pick up that art very soon.

If you have Motion X then you don't need anything else, just import the track in motion X, go to the place and it will constantly show you that track and also it can record your track if record track is switched on. Motion X is one the BESTEST application I have tried for offline GPS that supports the topography maps to show you the dunes formation even. That's how I first drove in this area in 2017, by avoiding the small technical dunes and going over the medium and big dunes. Of course, you need mobile internet for constant topography update, but in UAE Etisalat coverage is awesome unless you are deep inside Liwa. Btw, @Rahimdad has recently used one of the Motion X track by intelligently importing in some Android App, so will wait to hear from him and see how he did it and how good was that.

@Frederic Nuyttens using google map may allow you to follow the track but you cannot record your track in google map. You have to download offroad maps like Motion X or any other apps. I am a android user and i am using Geo Tracker which is very simple app and very easy to use. I had downloaded other offroad apps and tried and see them very complicated. I always search for Motion X in play store and i look forward one day this will be available for android users.

OK guys, seems i was a bit too soon to worry, i found the proper way to get them into Google Maps (IOS): Do this part with a desktop computer, not phone: 1) Download the files on a desktop computer. 2) Google "My Maps" and select "Create a new map" 3) Click on the blue "import" on the upper left hand corner, and drag and drop the KMZ file in there. 4) Give a name to your map. It will be saved automatically. This part involves using your phone: 5) Now restart your Google Maps application in your phone. Open the menu with the three lines. 6) Click on "Your places" and select "Maps". You should now find that new map you made in there. it goes without saying that both your desktop computer as your phone should be logged into the same google account.

I had been driving tractors and stuff for years as a kid but the first proper car I ever drove was a 1989 VW Polo Mk2 Breadvan, 1043ccs, 45 BHP of raw German power. Same as the photo. First proper accident I had in that car too. Got T-boned at a junction and bent the car in half like a banana. Center tunnel collapsed and my seat ended up on the other side of the car. Still have neck and back problems from that accident to this day. Coincidentally, also lost my license 15 years later in the same model of car after a police chase which involved me taking out a lamp on a traffic island.

My first one was the 1989 Peugeot 205 XS which had all the typical "french" issues, but was such a fun car to drive. If i ever come across an affordable 205 GTI in mint condition i might break open my wallet for it. But they go good money nowadays. It had a 1.4, 80HP engine that loved to rev and it was pretty light and nimble. Installed quite a lot of sound-systems in those days and the car rattled as hell once the sub came alive. True that it's not reliable.. But the technology is amazing. The thrust you feel when it accelerates is out of this world. I have been in a p100d 2 weeks ago and I loved it at the same time hate it for being electric... and its cool to see one silently floating by! Their customer service is so good that they give higher model loaner cars to those who are having problems - with their car and is being serviced. (you could have a used 85d and still get a p100d from either model x or s. So you will be wishing for tesla taking their maximum time available to repair while enjoying their top end car xD based on reviews and what customers said) Meanwhile, the only manufacturer that doesn't give any support/info/parts for DIY repairs *big thumbs down* after watching this video, i have a new pov towards tesla as well

I got my Indian DL in 2002, and the first car that I drove was my dad's old station wagon Tata Estate 94 model (2.0 litre diesel engine, manual transmission). It had the DNA of a diesel tractor with the shape of a car. But being my first car after years of public transport I thoroughly enjoyed it

My father`s beloved 1995 Ford Escort CLX. This car stayed with us 16 years from 1995-2011. I grow up with it.

That's really an ouch memory of the first car to lose the license and have a lifetime of an injury. Mine was Maruti Zen, 4 Cylinder, 993 CC, 60 hp - 5 door hatchback. Real fun to drive in those days, as it weighs 765 Kgs only. I have endless stories of night out's attached to Zen and Esteem (Another Maruti Car of my friend).

Seems more to me like an inexperienced driver or someone who went into a blind panic and couldn't think straight and made up a story to cover their ass. Of course the foot brakes would work. Unless he was trying to brake lightly over a long distance which would have boiled the brake fluid and induced fade rather than just stamp on the brakes, switch the engine off and stop the thing. I bet the fire was just the paint from the brake pads burning. I had a couple of cars that would set the pads on fire if you were pushing hard and late braking too much. In most autos, older ones anyway, dropping into P slots a pawl into a slot in a cog which locks the transmission solid. Can't speak for new cars, I outsource all my transmission work. When moving it doesn't work because the cog is spinning too fast for the pawl to slip into the hole and it makes a horrible girrrrrr noise. Then all of a sudden at around 2-3 kph the car will jerk to a halt. Switching the engine off is a good idea. If the engine is stopped, the car can't keep moving. The only thing to be aware of is that you don't activate the steering lock. Lose your steering and there's a good chance you will hit the barrier and flip onto your lid.

Your welcome, but don't go less than 3 cars as this area is quite tricky and filled with soft sand and pockets. That's the whole idea to share the trail and let others explore the world the same way we see it. I will be doing this for my other 70+ tracks soon.
