That's cool. Welcome Shrini. Most welcome to bring friends. I have a comprehensive guide to items for off road use, but I will recommend you to come with your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. We will show you the equipment and even guide you where you can buy. Enjoy your first drive with us, you can equip yourself in the coming drives. Looking forward to meeting you and your friend on Friday.
For all Absolute newbies, please go through below advices written by expert offroaders in Carnity.
If you have walkie-talkie (Radio) please charge it fully and bring it, as it's one of the most important offroad gear for a newbie to have clear communication to drive safely off-road and learn faster.

Seems like we are having a good participation for this weekend's drive. Looking forward to it.
It is advisable for the new guys to share their mobile number in case any coordination is required
Sorry @Barry, @Rahimdad guess I was too involved in a love / hate discussion the last time. I do agree with what you said. Hope not to get into a discussion in the future.
@desertdude I would like to continue it one on one the next time we meet buddy.😙
Till then you can checkout my project ride getting an upgrade.✌
@Ren13 that’s a sexy set of wheels you’re running.
Also just to add, I’m not digging at anyone in particular. I just think we should share more love. As mentioned earlier, it’s a diversion from the real world but sometimes the real world sucks and people need a happy place to go. I like a bit of banter but there’s a limit. An open mind is everything. I love a Denali engined Patrol as much as I love a 900cc Audi 50 as much as I love a 500 HP Scania 143.
Many thanks everybody.
if there is a Sri already in the group then I can be “srini” short for srinivas.
other than snacks and fluids, what equipment should I be bringing for the drive.
i have not yet bought any safety equipment like ropes etc.
finally, can I bring a friend along in my FJC?
regards
srini
All I know is a buddy who later became a neighbour who both Gaurav and RD know, bought a new Xterra used it as a daily driver and then off road during the weekend. Last I saw it was around 250-270 ish kms on the clock and it drove and looked just fine and I dont recall anything going wrong on it.
Only isssue is the rear suspension which is still old school leaf springs and once you go offroad they start to squeek as sand gets in between them. You can take them out clean them but next time you go off road they will start again. So all Xterra owmers I knew just lived with the rear suspension squeek.
For me there is no.more good live band guitar based music worth listening to for atleast the last 15 years. All the big metals bands either stopped or went weird aka Metallica.
They most recent music that I can think off that I really like is Bruno Marrs 24k magic.

And recently a friend introduced me to some house music that Ive also started to dig
