The head-unit needs proper cooling, so wrapping it up is not the smartest thing to do. From what i've been reading the DC Error is either coming from: 1) Loose or improper power supply to the unit. I need to verify fuses and grounding + connectors. 2) Shortcircuit in speakers or speaker-wiring. There are lots of them, even in the backdoor. So again i'll need to open each one of them, measure them out, and check wiring.

The only advice I can offer for stubborn or difficult to find rattles is to find garage that has a NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) kit. They can hook up a couple of microphones to an oscilloscope while driving the vehicle, and provided the technician is able to interpret the resulting waveform, he can pinpoint the source of the rattle in minutes.

Hi, I drive a Pajero 3.8l 2010 model with Rockford sound system. Today while starting the car, i heard a pop sound from my speakers and then noticed a message "Error DC" on the display of the sound system. There was no sound coming from the speakers and all the buttons on the radio where not functioning. After a couple of minutes some of the buttons started functioning but there was no sound. I turned off the vehicle for a minute and restarted. The same issue. However the bluetooth microphone was working all the while. At the gas station I turned off my vehicle for a few minutes and then restarted the car, and things were working back as normal. Since then I restarted the car a couple of times and have had no issues. But I was wondering if this "Error DC" is a warning sign that something in the audio system might break down very soon and should I be taking some precaution? Anyone experienced this issue before?

It's because of the rain. I think there is some condensation happening. But for the past few months this issue was not there for me. Even today I got the same error. Ask your wife to run the car for 10 mins and then restart. The issue gets resolved

I came across this from another group which is worth a try. It's in arabic so I am not sure exactly what is being said, but we can see clips that need to be pressed firmly which can possibly minimise the vibration. Side-Mirror-Vibrate-Fix.mp4

I’ve seen cars with a rattle that was so hard to find I almost felt like emptying a can of expanding foam behind the dashboard.

At least you know what’s rattling. That’s the hardest part. There must be a way of sticking a wedge in without seeing it.

Here is the easiest, fastest and safest way to fix a tyre pop out in less than 5 minutes: Tools required: Wooden plank/Jack board/plate Hydraulic Scissors Jack Air Compressor Shovel Water Steps involved: Move the vehicle "VERY SLOWLY" to flat ground. If you do it fast, then the inner (behind the tire) seam will also come out and make the pop out repair more difficult and sometimes impossible. Find a good jacking point and place a big wooden plank just under it - on perfectly flat ground. You can move the board a few times to flatten the sand so that jack sits on the flat ground. Place the jack on the board safely and lift the jack, just enough to regain the tire shape and then dig little under the tire. If you lift too much, then chances of tipping the jack are higher. Clean the open seam properly with water, run the fingers inside to make sure no sand is sticking inside the tire as that will leak the air while inflating. Inflate the tire with the air compressor and hold the open seam outward with little strength. Don't shake or use too much strength as jack might tip. When seam starts sitting in place, you will hear a loud/soft pop that means tire seam has been properly seated in its place and you can drive back normal. SAFETY WARNINGS: If you have a jack stand, use it under the axle. If you have a spare jack use it under the axle for safety. While the vehicle is lifted with jack, avoid any jittery move like slamming the door, closing the hood, getting in or out the car, this might cause jack to tip and cause serious injuries. While the vehicle is lifted with jack, NEVER EVER put your head, hand, legs or any body part under the car or under the tire. You can fix the tire from the side as shown in the picture above.

Error DC means there’s a short circuit somewhere. Could be a problem with a speaker or the head unit itself. If it isn’t happening regularly it will be hard to track down. If it is happening a lot, you can start by disconnecting the speakers one by one and see which one is causing the problem. If it still happens after that, it’s probably the head unit. At the minute, there’s not a lot you can do about it. Did water get in anywhere with the rain lately? Something to look at.

After a bit of research, I’ve found out the engine is a D2EA-CA and it was produced on February 14th 1973. So it’s 45 years old tomorrow. Happy birthday Mr Cleveland.

Totally agree, finding these buggers are the hardest part. In my wife Trail Blazer, there is constant rattling from behind the passenger seat and it's been two years I have tried all the guesswork to find the culprit, but failed.
