Trip Report. So we all gathered at the meeting point. One look at the participants and the thought of a newbie drive was out, it had to be a Fewbie drive. All agreed and we were off to the deflation point after a quick brief. After deflation and a quick word from @Gaurav bhai we were off. With me in lead, @G.huz in second lead did an amazing job to keep the convoy safe at all times. @shadow79 was third and made alternate routes to make it manageable whenever I found myself in any trouble. @Emmanuel kept busy in the middle, while @Shamil was closely following and @Gaurav bhai in sweep. The terrain is always pleasurable but challenging with some soft white sand. Some very smooth surface, and some really sharp ridges to cross. We had our bit of adventure with a few refusals and stucks, but all well managed. Finally a pop-out which once again gave me a bit of a chance to catch a little sleep which helped me a lot. Finally after a tough but pleasurable drive we settled down for some tea and snacks. Everybody got some really delicious treats, but it was @Gaurav bhai turn to tell us some awesome stories. Loved this side of him. After pack up we headed out, inflated and headed home. Overall well timed drive with great company and loved the night out with like minded people. It is one of the most prestigious and sought after title that comes with a lot of hard work, patience, tolerance, and dedication. Just like all the levels in Carnity offroad club is "NOT" only based on driving skills but instead based on the combination of your personality + intelligence + team spirit + adventure. This Marshal title is an epitome for all levels in the offroad grading structure. So if anyone wants to grow, they can set Marshal as a PERFECT example for not only following the driving style but observing their behavior, teamwork, presence of mind, calculative approach, patience and tolerance to teach and support new offroaders. Positioning is very important and then the tug intensity - gradual to constant pull than jerking that may result in flip instantly. Well done @Emmanuel Key things for every offroader to notice and learn here: Tried self recovering first to the max. Clear sand from front tires on both sides. Identify a safe spot to recover with least force - Front and left side. Position car with utmost precision to deliver just a minimal tug at right angle. Stuck 4x4 wheels pointing left to support the recovery process by using engine power. Started with a soft tug and then applied a pulling strength and not a jerk to cause a flip.

RTA Vehicle Testing is mandatory all across the Emirates in UAE. RTA vehicle renewal is a part of vehicle ownership in the UAE as well as many other developed countries, to check for faults that may endanger lives. There are several RTA testing centers in UAE, conveniently placed and open for long working hour for RTA test. Tasjeel is run by ENOC in Dubai, Sharjah and northern emirates with many Tasjeel vehicle testing branches. Shamil vehicle testing is run by EMARAT in Dubai and Sharjah with few testing centers. Wasel vehicle testing is run by BELHASA group in Dubai in Jadaf area. Adnoc vehicle inspection center is run by ADNOC in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and western region. Below is a list of tests performed during RTA Vehicle testing, along with tips to repair or prevent the issues: Vehicle identification: They will match your chassis number and registration. Emissions: They have three categories - carburetor petrol engine, fuel injected petrol engine, and diesel engine. Regular oil changes and visits to the mechanic will keep emissions under control. Braking system: Will be inspected for leaks, warped rotors, worn drums, squeaks, and performance. The handbrake will be checked too. Steering system: Checked for play. The couplings and joints must be in good condition. Visibility: This test checks the tint on your windows, your rear view mirror, and condition of the windshield glass, the wipers, and the washers. Remember to fill up on washer fluid. If you have rock chips in your windshield, you can repair it by filling it with resin. The kit is not cheap, but neither is a windshield. Lighting equipment: Examination of your high and low beams for position and brightness. Your headlight lenses must be clear as well. A yellowed headlight can be restored with some 3000-grit sandpaper and some polish. Running gear: Your vehicle axles, wheels, and tires will be checked. Most cars that fail this test either have worn CV joints or loose steering arms. Suspension problems can be detected easily by the sound your car makes when going over bumps. Put some lithium grease on your bushings to keep them flexible and last longer. Chassis and frame attachments: Any strut bars or braces, mounts, and the frame are inspected to ensure there is no structural rust or unrepaired accident damage. You can repair a rusted frame by cutting out the rusted parts and welding in uncorroded metal. RTA recommends that all aftermarket under body protection gear must be removed prior to the inspection. Key equipment check: Is your driver’s seat mounted properly? Your battery must be secured in position. All audible warnings that came with the car must be functioning as per GCC specifications. They will also check to see if you have your warning triangle in the trunk. Feel free to place the triangle in a more conspicuous place to help out the inspectors. Your seat belts would be checked as well.

Looks like it just sends a distorted signal to the ECU to trick it into thinking something else is happening. I would love to pull one apart to see whats happening but I guess its just a few resistors and a potentiometer on a PCB. Better just to spend some money and get a remap and have some real results. I bought a ZX 16v a few years ago with something similar installed. The guy I bought the car from told me it was an "adjustable tuner". I wasn't impressed with it and ended up disconnecting it. If you want to play with the TPS on a Pajero for free, you can adjust the sensor on the back of the throttle body. Its either 1 or 2 Philips head screws, I don't remember, then you can rotate it forward or back and experiment to see what results you get. Mark the original position with a sharpie or tippex before you start playing so you can put it back to the original position if you aren't happy. Excellent list of points to be checked during RTA Vehicle Testing in UAE. It's good to have this list handy that we can refer to before RTA renewal. Few things I like to add here: Tires: It should have decent amount of tread left for another year of use. RTA fails any tire more than 5 years of age. 3 years and above will only get passed if good enough tread is left. Offroad lights: You are fine to install any number of offroad lights, but they all should have cover on it like plastic cap or rexine wrap so that you cannot use while driving on road because use of offroad lights is illegal on the road. Stickers: Remove all big size stickers as sometime they fail the vehicle. 1-2 small stickers on body are acceptable as far as they are not on windows or blocking the rear view. Metal bumpers: Strict NO for RTA passing as they will increase the damage multi fold to vehicle and human body, if involved in any accidents. Borderline remedy for such offroad metal bumper is to install a big rubber bumps in front to absorb the impact. Loud exhaust: Excessively louder exhaust will fail RTA passing. If you opt for performance exhaust go with low noise exhaust and it should not exceed maximum of 95 DB on fully warmed up engine. I had Magnaflow on Mustang with 90 DB (almost) that passed every RTA testing without any wasta. Car modifications: If you have done some crazy extreme car modifications then refer to ESMA regulations.

RAV has already failed at the needful time in Sweihan when you wanted me to winch from back against the gravity because front hook is made for single use only. May be you are already using these stick on hook with 3M tape.

Only if you install on RAV4. Xterra's are better build and Emmanuel know how to use them properly, dont worry.

Problem with uploading to YouTube is it might get taken down due to copyright issues on the audio track. I have faced this issue before as well.

I’ve seen this lately on lots of Honda Civics, accompanied by LED lights underneath the car, chrome rims, and F&F stickers. Recommend to install on both sides to make it even stronger by using a bridle 😂😂😂

Google maps is not showing speed on smaller roads. Noticed this last week in sweihan and now in qudra.

We’ll need to think bigger and think in solutions instead of problems. The population living in towers in big cities probably won’t need to own cars anymore in the future due to better and faster alternatives. The complete shift towards electric and hydrogen will happen in phases and will take time and investments. I see buildings being equipped with a charging port in every parking space. These ports are powered by standalone battery packs like Tesla is already producing, and the battery packs are charged by solar on the roof buildings. Imagine smart power grids that would make us 100% Independent from the city grids. The smart grid will be either owned by yourself if you made the investment, or leased by companies that will charge you per kWh used. Countries like UAE are fast to adopt and might invest in this soon (like the shams initiative for solar).

Of course, eventually vicious circle have to be complete.

Ok, plan B, equip the recovery trucks with small generators capable of producing 12kW. If you can get a 10% charge in 30 minutes, it should be enough to take you where you need to go. People (recovery companies) need to think about stuff like this because this is where the industry will eventually lead to. BTW, my ideas are trademarked and patented. If anyone want to use them, I need 51% profit share 😬

And even when we will have enough ports, then the commercialization will kill this whole concept. Only ABC brand can charge here, Only XYZ subscriber can charge there, different plugs, different rates and what not. Experience this last summer in London with Hybrid and couldn't able to charge once in 14 days as every port was different and want me to sign up for monthly option than pay as you go.

Really.....? If person cannot see 3 feet wide metal object in "daylight" he needs new eye test.

I think IMC or other recovery service provider have some quick charging service. Worst case scenario, put the car on recovery bed and drop them to the nearest charging point. It's better to check with the provider (Tesla or any) that what are there terms for roadside assistance.

As far as I know it tinkers with the app sensor data and in old cars does something to tp sensor readings which keeps the ECU on edge so you get that response...
