Just to eliminate the most common cause first, jack up the vehicle front end and shake front tires sideways and up and down to see if there is a play. If they have a play its wheel bearing noise, get it changed. If no play spotted then rotate the tires with one hand and hold the suspension spring with another, if you feel vibration in springs it means wheel bearing is on its way out. Second doubt is drive line, start with U-joint as a first guess. Inspect the u-joint, shake them nicely to see if any play, if they have grease nipples, then put some grease first and test again. Gear is probably the last bet, but knowing Honda notorious gear reputation, can't rule out that. Will let more techy boys shine their wisdom now.

Fiats! Are you nuts, most unreliable POS ever and good luck trying to find parts if anything goes wrong and Mini is basically a BMW i.e shit and expensive to maintain. Stick with an old jap ecobox like a civic or corolla. Many for sale for 5k and under. I just saw a real nice white civic 2005 with 160k asking 5500. Buy something like that and spend another 1000 to bring it up to scratch and let the new driver have at it!

Very very old used car for at least first year till he/she understand that every accident or ding is caused by him/her is because of there own actions than just pure bad luck. I mean get their stage of denial cross few times, let them bake in sun (road side) for few times to make them seasoned driver who understand how road traffic actually works than the rule book theory. Once they learn to discount AH and hold there temperament even when they are right for 5 seconds than wasting 5 days and getting baked, they will be ready for any car. Why old, as it will cheaper to have few more dings on beaten up sunny, yaris, corolla without losing an arm/leg. Also slower the car lesser the impact speed - so they don't hit someone at 140 or 160. I had 4 accidents in first year and then 2 in next 5 years and after that no accident since 12+ year now. Same for my wife, cousins and few friends. It's a known phenomena for all new drivers.

UPDATE on UDRIVE: I have been using Udrive for the last two weeks, and was fined twice for not leaving the car behind in a proper location. * First fine of 125AED was issued because i parked the car outside my community at the visitor parking near the mosque. I live in Mira community and parked it over there specifically because i knew it's not allowed to park it inside a gated community. This visitor parking is freely accessible without having to pass by the gates, still i got a fine for parking inside the gated community. * As an alternative to above, i decided to park the car a few days later at the Al Qudra roundabout, which is a public parking accessible to anyone. I received a fine of 280AED the next day, claiming the car was outside the "business" zone. Apparently on the app there is a green border line, where the car was parked 20 meters outside the green line (see attachment). 😡 Looking at the Google reviews, Udrive seems to make a habit of handing out fines for vague and unclear issues. With the fine payment which is automatically deducted from your creditcard, i could have rented a car for two weeks.

AFAIK RTA examiners are really polite and will never fail you until they feel that you are not confident or do any major mistakes during the trial/test.

This is over 10 years ago. The wife had given 10 tests with Bel Hasa and kept failing. Even her instructor was bewildered as to why she was failing. So fed up decided to shift to Galadari. So went to BH to have the file transferred to Galadari, first they kept making a lot of excuses as why she shouldn't transfer. Its going to cost money, it will cause delays etc etc but once they realized our mind was made up, they said ok give us one last chance I said no I don't want her to wait another week to get a test date again, they said no worries we will fix you up for one day after tomorrow and our special instructor will take the test. And lo and behold she passed that test. Coincidence???

I just re-read the question. I apologize I thought you were talking about adjustable shocks. To try to answer your question, ask yourself this, do you drive off road? if yes how often? if more than twice a week then go for the stiffer shocks, if you are only going for the occasional camp trip and most of the drive is done on road then go for the softer.

My front tyres are getting worn out from inner side. What could be the issue?

In my 2014 Accord, after I cross the speed of about 40 kmph, there is a noise which comes from the front side of the car. It sounds like a rumbling noise and it becomes a continuous noise as the speed increases. The noise stops when I immediately leave the accelerator and starts as soon as I again start accelerating. Tried this at various speeds and the results are the same I have recently changed the transmission fluid and filter. Shifting is smooth with no issues. Tyres have been recently changed as well. This noise has been there for a while, probably 60,000 km. But it's just getting irritating now. Need help in trying to diagnose the source of the noise. Thanks

look for any good Japanese car then you wont have to spend 250 per spark plug for fiat which is not available anywhere except al ghandi or a 1200 dhs rear bumper of mini ps : get him or her a tercel or echo you wont be sorry

Nissans have made notoriously shit engines especially those big 400 engines their vti sensors fookup then their high pressure mechanical pump also makes such problem and rarely the bcm and pcm also makes such problems best way is to hook up and view live data you might stumble upon the culprit its such a shame that it has so much power yet very fragile we fixed quite many...

If the car is GCC and has a full service history, then owner need to put a strong foot down and ask Nissan to diagnose and fix it, as they simply can't say "I Don't Know". Ask them to give this "I Don't Know" in writing first. Then explore consumer rights option first, and if needed write a nice email to Nissan Japan for seeking help. With your present story, you will very easily get ripped off outside and waste ton of money and time for as simple as cam position sensor replacement.

Congrats on your new ride. Have you gone to original Nissan Dealer or Nishaan Dealer in Dragon Mart, lololol. How come they cannot solve the problem? Is car is GCC spec or exported? How many km driven? How often this cut-off happen? At what speed? After how long driving? Any other aftermarket electronics installed like theft control, remote starter etc.

@Jeh on second thought I recall that, that guy you took chevy freak out when you ask for a guarantee and said if alignment cant be fixed then bushes has to be blamed. As usual car has 10,000 parts so its always other 9999 parts are faulty in your car. And also I rem it was a groupon offer, so already a tight business working on survival with price race to the bottom. @desertdude I am not hung up on Hunter machine, but anything equivalent of good lazer alignment to correct minor issues.

The warranty is valid only if the service is done with the dealer. I am the third owner and the service has been done outside. Also, I have exceeded the 120,000 km warranty mileage.

Unfortunately the old P38 is a body on ladder frame chassis with solid axels front and rear with no camber adjustments front or rear. But its worth to have to alignment and toe in and out checked. From the workshop manual here are the factory specs If everything checks out then you have a bent front axel and diff tube! Typical problem with patrols and jeeps who jump them alot in the desert LOL I'm calling this condition Ajmanitis !!!

Could be anything driveline related. From bearings to CV joints. Get it checked out.

Check break pads. Else check belts if worn out or need replacements. I had this issue with my camry. small stone struck into the pad when tire was removed and the mechanic tried to check the pad, stone came out.

Seriously, then why you drive modern engineering cars and why not bullock cart with rope and ox in front. This hunter system is one of the most advance system to catch 1/10 of a decimal difference. I know this as I suffered in my Patrol due to BF goodrich and wasted tons of money and time on rope specialist and in end got this lazer alignment and went home with a big smile. In those days it was quite special as only one shop in Deira had this machine who was installing tires for cooper tire from renaissance trading, but these days this hunter machines has become industry standard and I have seen them in lot of good places.

Any idea how much do they charge for Laser Alignment?

Get it aligned they can spot if you have some other issue or only alignment will fix it...

Check wheel alignment. May be one of the reason.

I have similar case. My uncle in 2009 had attempted 4 test in one of the institute. He requested me to help out with file transfer to galadari. I told him the procedure involved. In a weeks time he cleared his re-test. It's just his confidence that helped him nothing else.

Update : The App doesn't work, kept saying please try again later, after an hour of trying had to do it the old fashioned way at the cop shop. And everyone over there also kept advising me I should do it online and had to explain to half a dozen policemen that I tried and it don't work.

there is a way around if you can produce a tenancy contract from ajman then you can get your driving licence from ajman but remember one thing they are pretty strict and once they pass you you sure will be a driver from start go...

if they stand there and wait they have to cough up accident fees on top of fixing their car which is lately higher then getting your bumper sorted and repainted...

nobody is teaching me i gave him an explanation based on my own ride which first had the oem shocks which were soft comfy but didn't travel the extra length which i changed later on for stiff ones which gave it height but killed the comfort almost half of dubai lives in ajman sharjah and uaq i dont think there is something wrong in it...

I learnt my lesson with Shj and Ajman long time ago, nowadays I try to keep as many traffic related transactions as possible out of Ajman and Shj. Last time a bus whacked my Land Cruiser parked outside my house and ran away. Took a weeks worth of running around to sort it out. And that time I really didn't even have the time. In the end I wished I hadn't reported it and just put it down to off roading battle scars. And don't worry car is leased by the company and in their name, so hence I'm not too bothered. But having said that what A.holes man! How can you almost crush someones cars and then run away like a coward without even having the decency at the very least leave your number. Now all this waste of time and expense for absolutely no fault of mine.

Simple, switch to hard when off-road and switch back to soft when driving on the road. I have heard some people say it's just a gimmick and wont make a lot of difference. I have adjustable shocks and they do make a difference.
