Lets start the new year with an Absolute Newbie Drive in the Pink Rock area that offers perfect opportunity to learn. The area is famous for very safe and easy tracks to medium rolling dunes. Look forward for an easy relaxing drive for everyone with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow, hill climb, and ridge riding. Absolute Newbies and Newbies will have a great chance to see and learn the real fun that off-roading offers in a very safe and organized environment. To start off the New Year, I would like to invite all Fewbies and above to explore the beautiful area of Murquab - Lisaili. This area has a nice mix of medium tall dunes and smaller technical areas that will definitely keep you on your toes. We will explore and alternate between side sloping and basic ridge crossing techniques, and enjoy whatever this area has to offer. Depending on the pace and progress we will either head off towards the Maktoum Solar area or Qudra Lakes. This drive is for Fewbie and above level only. Please check if you have all required tools and gear on board as per your assigned drive level. Quick response, challenging drive for me. Had a busy week behind me. Was hesitating if I should go or not, due to the lack of time/ sleep. Sleep is key people. My sister is visiting me these days. I promised my sister to bring her to the desert, the timing was great, because she landed the same morning, a morning drive would be not an option for us. So there was actually no excuse not to go. She is a petrolhead like us. Enjoyed the drive as well. Compliments to @Rahimdad, she was offered to sit shotgun next to him. We had the opportunity to play. I refused because I didn’t feel to take my LC out this day, where Rahimdad took the opportunity. Few of my observations on this roll over: I think he didn't scouted the area before to do sidey or crossing attempting, as from the camera angle it was very clear to see the very soft sand pocket and slip face at the end. As he didn't anticipated that's why he slowed down in end and then with limited momentum he tried to climb the slip face and got bog down in soft sand to flip. If any one really wanted to be this adventurous then plan your exit before entering the dune and continue the momentum until you exit safely. And if encounter with soft patch like this give 200% throttle to test if you can cross, if not immediately steer down than waiting to see what gravity holds for you. His climbing speed and reaction time was very slow. He might not have deflated enough as many such LC and patrol pickup farm boi live in non-deflated or partial deflated (25 psi) mind set and when they do such crazy stuff and car sink in soft sand, they realize that but its too late. When car slowed down from 00:13-14 secs, I think he entered the soft patch as sand splash stopped at the same time. From there itself he should have exited or make second attempt with fully deflated tire and double the speed to ride and exit safely.

All new car will be mandatory to have ecall system to alert nearest emergency center from 2021. This seem very helpful and intelligent to auto-notify the authorities, maybe on next version poor guys like us using older cars can get this system installed for our safety too. If you have an old Smartphone lying around the house, you can easily make a dash cam out of it too. I downloaded an app called Smart Dash Cam on IOS which I use to record our drives sometimes. It only starts recording when you are actually moving, and makes videoclips of 2-3 mins each that you can upload to your Google Drive or Dropbox. It can also record on impact. The only negative thing is that I have to remove the phone when the car is parked in the clear sun or high temperature. The problem with the very cheap dash-cams is the so-called 720 or 1080 quality which they like to put on the box, but when using it you will come to see that reading numberplates or more detailed data will be difficult to extract, which then basically makes it almost worthless to use.

Sheesh such long theories as if the boson god particle is being discussed here. Guy was first of all was a fool doing sideys in a fully loaded pickup second the guy simply miscalculated the terrain by the time he realized it. It was too late, happens to the best of us/them. I have driven through some tricky terrain with a loaded pickup but only because I had to and that was the only way all my fooling around was done with an empty bed.

Here comes the wrath of LC pickup God now.......😱

Thing is people think ceramic coating is somekind of miracle auto carwash. That once they use it they will never have to wash or take care of their car again, at least for a year anyway. CC is really for those people who are nuts about their rides and like to keep it better than factory finish quality all the time. The kind that clean even the inside of the AC vents daily with a soft bristle brush More than anything it's paint protection the ease of cleaning is a secondary added bonus.
