DRIVE REPORT As you might know by now, i like exploring new areas, and although i had done the first part of this drive already twice, the other parts were unknown terrain and it felt great to get a super capable convoy through it unscathed. @Jessica Lambert, now equipped with the best AT tyres, cool rims, and a great co-pilot, was superb and pop-out free this time Great driving Jessica ! keep it up ! @Salim Akhtar as usually surprising everyone with his skills and how he masters the Pajero, just like @GauravSoni you are one of the ambassadors of how capable a Pajero is in the right hands ! @Mahmoud Taha and @Ashutosh Garg were our silver bullets today, and the RC car Mahmout brought was doing all the things we are not allowed to do with real cars 🤣 @Amr Aydin you are the iceman of each and every convoy. Warmhearted but super skillful and never a foot wrong in that beautiful Jeep. @munkybizness the smooth approaches you take with the Patrol are a bliss to look at. Great to see a fellow camper, with @Looperand @GauravSoni also camping the night before. Next time i'd love to join you guys. Last but not least: @Asif Hussain who had a last-minute opening in the fence and joined us on our adventure. Great seeing you again and each drive becomes memorable with you in it ! The plan for next time is to reach Fayah. If not, then we will exit earlier and plan it for another time 😁 As is mentioned, drive stats mean little to me, the camaraderie, atmosphere, and laughs mean so much more. Dear Friends Truly today we had such fun that you all made it such a fantastic morning to spend together . Excellent driving safely at all times. 🙏 as I mentioned previously the choice of the itinerary was totally dependent on the first part which was the most breathtaking view along the path where every one has enjoyed it to max. It was not even yet 7:30 by the time we reached the second part.👇 The second part was at the old lady dune area and I was very surprised to see the slip face totally destroyed from the endless cross tracks and more than that sadly many dumbed rubbish on ground. We looped around it and played a bit which was far better before we head proceed to part 3 👇 the third part was not intentional more than safe guarding when we all entered a huge bowl but still smaller than the famous desth bowl , hence I gave it the nick name of “ mini death bowl “ .. I preferred not to cross on descent as the crest from the contra lateral side was broken which gave me no choice other than enter in to its base and drag every one with me ( centrifuge safe effect 🤣) .it was a good practice to exit now and I was having faith with every one with no bargain at all 😅 After we all exited safely the last part of the game was at the pickup bowl where we could play for all day there but as we know the good time passes like a blink of a second however I believe always there will be better and new experience inshallah @Vaibhav thank you for being my second lead today just perfect 🙏also thanks for the ever felt gentle tug when I was crested before lady dune 👍 @Simon Dawood thank you for anchoring the middle of the convoy and support🙏 @Waqas Parvez Thanks for watching our back with vigilant eyes as always . fantastic drive as usual Doc @M.Seidam, just noticed this was my 50th in carnity so couldn't have asked for a better one. We picked the pace right from the start and never let it down (except for my stuck 😅). Thanks again for tugging me out and for @Imteeaz @Waqas Parvez @Simon Dawood& @Vaibhav for all the shoveling. Red Bulls on me for next drive. @Vaibhav flawless 2nd lead, so impressive that we have recommended to Doc to make that your permanent position 😂. @Waqas Parvez thank you for sweeping the convoy and being patient with constant sand showers i was providing. @Haitham Khattab @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler @Imteeaz @Simon Dawood @Anoop Nair always a pleasure meeting and driving with you guys. @M.Seidam Today's drive you just upped the level and made it so much fun. Though the starting point to reach was a bit rough but it was good to see such a strong convoy ready to tear up the dunes. Some ridge riding in the initial part and later the pace completed the drive. Thank you for making me the 2nd lead which was my 1st time in Carnity and i enjoyed thoroughly. You chose perfect lines with main priority of safety of everyone. @Haitham Khattab 2nd drive and you have drove flawless buddy. It was really nice seeing you in the rear view mirror. @Anoop Nair we have driven together so many times and it was good see the beauty with fender replaced. @Simon Dawood good job as CF and making us listen to exhaust which everyone enjoyed when you were tearing up the dunes. @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler Did see you climbing the dunes and you did it extremely well after the air filter was cleaned compared to the last drive. @Imteeaz thanks a lot of supporting on shoveling and such a pleasure to see the safari climbing bowls. @ASAD.Thank you for making us sweat red bull is pending for our next drive together. thank you for your kind words. @Waqas Parvezthank you for taking care of the tail. good job as sweep. This was my first leading for the new season after a long brake of 4 months. My muscles were a bit lazy but you did it great so I am aligned back to my path... @Sunil Mathew on 2nd lead saved our convoy from falling into dark pits many times. Thank you for your great leading! @Lukas made a great beginning in his Fewbie journey. The level of the drive was slightly higher than regular Fewbies because of the terrain and extremely soft sand. You started from difficult so the upcomings will be funnier for you I think. Now you know all basics and tricks for the new actions; criss-crossing, ridge-riding, long hill climbing .... you did them all very well. Enjoy your new rank! @Pascal and @Brett Eicher ; great controlling guys! It was amazing watching you rounding in deep bowls without any single fishtailing. You are doing great, but most importantly, very safe while dancing on the dunes. Keep it up like this, but don't forget to be careful against overconfidence in further levels. Looking forward to your promotions... @Joji varghese you proved once more that XT-offroad is the best toy that one may have in the UAE deserts. Excellent show brother! ... and my friend @Rajiv Sam. Hi all Jeepers here in the forum Awesome UAE winter season has started and i have been planning to take my Wrangler's roof off. Last year i did it for 4 months - Nov till March. Was okay keeping it fully naked throughout with just mesh on top and Tonneau cover at the back. Challange was while being on sand over weekends and the days when while on road those occasional rains in UAE played a spoilsport. First day itself i took my roof off, on way to a meeting it rained for 2 min and this experience i want to avoid. Overall was an awesome experience. However, surely need some option to go with for those cases and seek advice of enthusiasts on couple of queries and options, there are. a.) Bestop Slantback Ultra, fully retractable one - This is really something i like. However, comes at a steep cost and trying to understand the cost vs price value. --- If someone using it, would be good to understand how comfortable it is to take off and reinstall, though will be doing once a season, is it DIY or need to visit a workshop. --- Anyone tried it during summers? Is it practical to be extended to say May/Jun kind of weather here in UAE? --- Anyone tried it off-roading? Not convinced if retracted one stands the test of shakes and shocks while off-roading? There are a bit of cheaper options available with sunrider etc, however, i want possibility to have it off for both front and rear seats so those dont work for me. b.) Alternatively thinking of going the low cost, do its work kind of Safari Style. -- Anyone using them, any feedback how well they stand driving on highways? -- Any feedback on them managing the rain - UAE rains arent torrential and in any case for occasional such rain, i am okay not taking my Jeep out -- In case i am driving with this off and it starts to rain, how much of a hassle it is to bring it back on? I already have a Tonneau cover, can go with this along with windbreaker for the Tonneau cover. Any other options, please advice. Regards

Have to agree with @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler and @Davie Chase. Fantastic drive @Islam Soliman in a area well known among off Roader’s , but very rarely ventured by many. Especially the final 90 min tested everyone . It was nice to warm up for a higher level drive , considering the winter is set in. Love to drive with friends @Gok Krish, @Jessica Lambert , @Daniel Rodas , @Naim Aoun and @TT_Dubai after a long time . Of course loved the challenge to follow on churned tracked by tanks ahead . see you all soon

@M.Seidam there are no words to describe how wonderful the drive today was !!. Amazing scenery , nice weather and most importantly wonderful people whom we enjoyed the intermediate drive level " safely" . we went in together with a smile and we left together with laughter, wondering about the many dunes that were staring at us while exiting and daring us to conquer them. If it wasn't for the voice of reason, i am sure with such an amazing convoy we would have still been there till this moment tearing up those dunes bit by bit . 😂 time went by so fast as if we experienced the time dilation effect well done @Vaibhav flowless 2nd lead, @Waqas Parvez thanks for keeping us all packed together great job buddy . @ASAD.we have to make a dedicated REDBULL drive for you my friend 😂 @Haitham Khattab @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler @Imteeaz @Anoop Nair @ASAD. looking forward to see you again soon .

Dear Desert Drivers, Thank you for joining the drive today. The first portion was not the best, as finding a way through the cross tracks and the bushes was difficult. Still the small bowls are a good terrain for practice before reaching the high slopes, and the long dune offers always opportunities for sidesloping. Once we crossed the pylon track close to Fossil Rock, no more bushes, and we could navigate between bowls and ridges, with the view of the mountains on the opposite side, until we gradually reached the mighty Faya dune, where we have practiced larger bowls and big slopes, up and down. Excellent level in the group, as we had only minor refusals, and one occasion requiring shoveling. @Mohamad Anwer, it was a great pleasure to have you as second lead, @Nathan L, your lines are precise, excellent control of your car, @Jad Moussalli it was a pleasure to see the Defender in its environment rather that on Downtown Boulevard, it has impressive capabilities @Mike., the white rhino was steady on the ridges and the long climbs, even if it doesn't like the steep ones, @Jaro Tuzinsky you have improved the control especially during the descends, nice drive, keep the focus at all time when you will join FB+ @Zixuan Huang - Charlie thank you for the support, always present when needed, @Patrick van der Loo that Jeep can climb anywhere , @Zulfikhar Naiyar excellent drive and communication, thank you for the sweep. It was a pleasure to have you all for the drive and the nice chats during the breaks, enjoy the rest of the weekend and see you next time !

I really enjoy these technical drives as the tax you physically and mentally. the route was great as was the company and teamwork as we resolved the handful of stucks and a pop out. @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler you were your usual awesome self at second lead ensuring we did not follow when told to stop ensuring the route was safe for us all to follow. @Chaitanya D great jon in sweep keeping the convoy together, great to drive with you again. @Jessica Lambert @Naim Aoun @Daniel Rodas @Gok Krish @TT_Dubai you guys drove amazingly making our jobs so much easier, not only that, but you all pitched in to support the drive with shovels and laughter along the way, great example of a team pulling together to get us all out safely. Always a true pleasure to drive with you @JeromeFJnot just for the expertise as a lead but also because you take the time to explain what you are about to do and then give direct feedback to the drivers when they apply it themselves. For someone who is trying to understand the Whats and Whys rather than slamming the pedal and enjoying the rush (can’t deny the fun part though ), I genuinely appreciate this and I thank you for taking the time to pass on the knowledge and the experience. Always a pleasure to be in your drives.
