  2. As Davie mentioned, Never experienced sand as soft as this, that any aggressive driving would punish us with air leaking from the tires, but thanks to God that we had no tire issue nor pop out other than few zero pressure tires. Thanks @Zulfikhar Naiyarfor giving me some pressured airπŸ‘ Thank you @Islam Soliman for leading us in this adventurous terrain where we had the hard labor recovery, extremely soft sand multiple steps and more. honestly even with you driving the full size in front of me, I still had to think twice before making any movement. And with the strong support from @Davie Chase @Ranjan Das at back and the rest of skilled and supportive members in the convey @Zulfikhar Naiyar @Ashutosh Garg @Karthikeyan Govindarajan, we could reach the YT and made it back safely. Also glad to see the vortex snorkel I newly installed works very well on keeping the sand out of the intake systemπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ, there was only fine dust in the filter

  3. All crested vehicles can be out with the shovel alone . It’s the tricks and experience you get by not missing this recovery champion league πŸ˜‰ … if you are alone ( off course not advisable ) what would you do and you have 20 min left to the sunlight before the dark comes on youπŸ˜…

  4. No, mine is vortex head, air is still being sucked into the intake system by pressure. the benefit of vortex head is that it keeps more heavy contaminants away and provide cleaner air to the engine, which is critical for Nissan's VQ40DE engine, it gets into limp mode if dirt gets in Ram type head forces air into the intake system which theoretically increase the amount of air to the engine, you may check with others who have ram head. switching the head is easy, you can get me a ram type and im happy to test for you😁 https://www.4x4works.co.uk/snorkel-heads-guide/#:~:text=The two most common types, fall into the snorkel itself.

  5. Very well said @Davie Chase.. it was a fantastic day very well spent.. total driving of around 18 hours and covering around 700km with 150 on these amazing dunes. Prompt alerted 2nd lead of @Zixuan Huang - Charlie and having @Ranjan Das and you @Davie Chase at the back made me quite comfortable in executing the plan and pushing the limits four a normal F+ drive level on both speed and climbs. The great skills on the drive also helped me go even more bold specially on the last hour run to YT and all the way back to the gravel track thanks to @Zulfikhar Naiyar @Ashutosh Garg and @Karthikeyan Govindarajan. Despite of some moments of stress and heavy exercises specially with the horrendous 80m climb on that extremely soft bowl to anchor @Zulfikhar Naiyar’s stuck car on the center of the bowl .. outstanding team effort and safe recovery with no pain other the terrible burning muscles πŸ€ͺ. The scenery with these red sand beautifully mixed with black stone formations here and there and clouds casting dark shadows on the gigantic dunes was a sight to be always remembered. I enjoyed every minute, the drive, the dunes, the recoveries, the lunch by the Yellow Truck and @Ashutosh Garg nice mini kitchen setup for freshly made coffee enjoying beautiful breeze and charging our energy to the second part to the exit, and above all your great company! thanks for making this day a memorable one and looking forward for a Back2LIWA drive soon InshaALLAH

  6. @Islam Soliman (Hope you made your flight) thank you for a great drive yesterday that had everything in it as usual :), my first time to YT was indeed a memorable one. I do not remember in my 50+ drives having a drive with that amount of soft sand throughout, so it was a fantastic experience with a lot of learnings. Also never had a recovery where we used nearly every rope and a winch (I believe we had one rope left and that was only because Charlie had two lol). That recovery was a true display of Carnity teamwork at its best, where all 7 members of the convoy participated to make it happen. Moreover, that was a real work out, my legs were burning by the time I reached the top and I really was not sure I would make it. The other team members were just as exhausted as it was a truly grueling recovery from a stamina standpoint, but as always, we got through it with smiles and enthusiasm to obtain a safe recovery with a bunch of learning opportunities along the way. @Zixuan Huang - Charlie fantastic second lead and support for the drive as always. @Ranjan Das @Karthikeyan Govindarajan @Ashutosh Garg @Zulfikhar Naiyar you guys all drove exceptionally well and worked together the best I have seen and supported each other superbly. That recovery, to get it done safely, required teamwork, coordination and above all flawless communicating, we had all three in abundance, well done to one and all. I have posted some pics in the Gallery. I have a great rest of your weekend and hope to see you all in the sand again very soon.

  22. If 15k is your budget and you want a reliable off-roader, then there’s only a handful of options I think: - R50 pathfinder 3.5. - Jeep XJ Cherokee - Pajero generation 2 made until 1999 in 2 door version - Pajero generation 3 made until 2006 in 2 door version -Xterra is the best option if you’re willing to stretch your budget a bit.
