  1. Thank you @Davie Chase for the great drive, and the amazing leading skills and communication (very informative, clear and gives an ease of mind for the rest of the convoy). Special thx for the backbone of every drive he is involved in @Frederic, always a pleasure seeing you and deiving in the same convoy. Great job in the center for @Dodi Syahdar, brilliant. Amazing driving from the rest of the team. Happy to see old friends and new faces, I see a lot of enthusiasm happening from the last couple of drives and I see how busy the intermediate drives going to be in the end of the summer. See you all soon.

  6. @Patrick The CTIS Central Tyre Inflation System is always connected to the wheel/rim hubs and perfect for those who don't want to get down to deflate, similar to G Wagon that can deflate & inflate back with a button inside the car. What's best is you can set it to constantly aim 10 psi and the system will deflate/re-inflate accordingly during your hot summer drives 😁 Pic below: *just realized max upload is 16KB, so here are temp photo links

  7. I hope recommending spare parts shop is not as strict as recommending garages πŸ˜… so here goes: - Royal Pipes Trading LLC in BMW Road Sharjah, either buy flexible ones or PVC Blue that can handle 7 bar or the extreme braided ones that can handle 12 bar. - Wika 150 psi Digital Gauge from neighboring hardware shops along W Road

  8. @Pavel Pashkovskiy@Patrick allow me to provide my two cents on this: Self-declaration of how many drives one has done can never provide a real safe off-roading environment. We have noticed on multiple occasions where members declare they have driven for example +10 years offroad in the UAE, but upon joining we notice they don't possess even basic skills, and after some digging deeper they finally admit that this 10 years was more kind of camping and BBQ drives , Imagine taking someone like that on a higher level drive and getting into accidents and rollovers.... The same thing applies to drives done in another club. There is no common level with skillsets agreed across clubs in the UAE, so a Fewbie level with us could be a Newbie level in another club for example. Here at Carnity we use numbers as we have learned that for building a skillset or drive level it is a good healthy indicator. Of course, we do know that some people need more drives or other people need less drives to be ready for the next level, but every promotion you see passing by here has gone through a voting system amongst the marshals first and apart from the drive count we look at many other factors as well (see grading structure). Setting up a convoy for example a Fewbie Plus level drive in our current grading structure ensures that the drive lead at all times can be sure that his joining members are up for that level, and there are no members who would be out of their comfort zone or would get themselves in dangerous scenarios or slow down the convoy excessively. Please take note that all of our drive leads thoroughly look at the number of drives each person has done in order to decide on the proper convoy position and to keep an extra close watch on whoever is new on that level. The grading structure did not fall out of the sky in Carnity, it was built and tweaked numerous times thanks to the input of our members and leads to ensure maximum safety and enjoyment for everyone. There is no business aspect in that. Allowing a marshal to invite members from a lower level onto his drive ? How would that work ? And how fair would that be towards others ? "sometimes wish members were placed in the levels they belong based on their actual experience instead of having to do drives just for the sake of earning credits 😁" Please define how we would gauge your "actual experience" safely? A trip lead who is leading the drive is looking 90% of the time in front of him and would not see someone in the middle of the convoy fishtailing or fighting gravity, unless one of the other senior or supporting members would notice that. I would recommend you join to enjoy each drive, without counting as i have personally seen so many off-roaders rushing their drives to reach IM level as soon as possible, and then burning or fading out due to boredom. Driving in the desert is a fantastic hobby. Get to enjoy each drive, socialize, and don't focus too much on the numbers

  9. thanks @Davie Chase for organising the drive. it was smooth.. I have enjoyed it and got the chance to experience my New Fj. it seems I was driving an elephant 🐘 (my LC) in desert compared to FJ. it was great to drive again with @Glenn W @Frans M, @Ishak@Dodi Syahdar , @Frederic .. @Marketa Dobesova u did very well for ur 1st fewbie. it was abit relaxed in the back of Convoy with few managed refusals. Thanks again all for all support and fun we had today. Ahmad

  13. Same here I also bought 4 for my ARB, but I recently bought another Jeep and there was a compressor build in with 2 hoses. I think that's the real sweetspot. Way less space and hassle. So I would always recommend 2 instead of 4 at least because that's easier and more fun to use. to the details: I bought mine for 600 and in sale instead of 700 at quickflate - it comes with a digital gauge and it is a really good quality. 14. Thanks @Davie Chasefor leading the convoy, @Fredericfor second lead and @Dodi Syahdar @Amr Aydinfor supporting. The fog was immense this morning but fortunately it gave way to some fantastic looking sand dunes and a short camel farm tour. And to everybody else, fantastic drive, great Sunday morning out and I hope to see you all again next weekend 😬

  15. @Frederic Thank you for allowing me to lead your drive today as always it was a pleasure to lead such a great bunch of off roaders around the beautiful desert of Abu Dhabi. We had a little bit of everything starting off with the foggy drive down, which then turned into a stop start as we chased the clear patches of visibility until the sun finally did its job and burnt it off. We then went from technical dunes to some mid-range ones that we were able to play on back to Technical. Could not have led such a drive a few months back, this is just down to one thing, all of the help and guidance that I get from you and the other leads @Carnity you have all supported me on this journey and it is really appreciated. The Journey although will never be complete, has thus far given me a lot of confidence in my own ability in the desert as well as knowledge that I can pass on to others in this great sprot of ours. A big thank you and shout to my buddy @Dodi Syahdar who came out to support the drive and played a pivotal role in keeping the center of the convoy moving freely in the CF role, brilliant support Dodi keep it up and once again thank you. A just as big a thankyou goes out to our sweep @Amr Aydin for doing an amazing job of sweeping the convoy and ensuring we all stayed together till the exit. The other team members @Frans M @Emmanuel @Glenn W @Ishak @Marketa Dobesova @Bjoern and @Ahmad Nerat you guys drove amazingly well in some challenging terrain. The fact we had a handful of refusals including myself and zero stucks, along with just one pop out, (which we ended up changing the wheel and tire as we had a leaky valve stem) is a huge shout out to you guys for the way you took every challenge in your stride. I would also like to thank you for your patience at the start of the drive as we battled the fog but perseverance paid off for a beautiful drive once we really got going. For those that like to see where we went and what speed, distance covered, altitude etc. please see below. Thanks again for a great Sunday morning out and hope to see you all again in the sand very soon

  16. Hi @Gary F Trading ent included it in some vehicles - not sure if it’s model specific. Usually it’s an additional accessories with Mopar compressor.

  17. In Qatar I remember seeing a few Landcruisers with this setup but they also had oversized sand tires. I expect its a very expensive build. Presume the hose that comes with the Jeep is only on Rubi models ? Mario think you for the detailed build list, gonna start looking at sourcing locally.

  18. Just a thought, believe this standard 2 hose arrangement that comes with FJ and Jeep should be possible to upgrade to 4 hose one easily. There is one brass Chuck which is used for deflation - connecting another 2 hose arrangement with that should do the trick (?) Something I believe might be worth the try. After using two hose arrangement - am more and more inclined to go for 4 hose arrangement. Yes will take good amount of time to fill up - but then no need to stand next to car - can chit chat during winters and can be inside the car during summer.

  19. A 2 wheel setup sounds like a good compromise between hose length and time it takes to setup. I’ll do some further research , I like the idea of building our own.
