  3. Good morning Team ! @Mehmet Volga@Ishak@Mohit Gurnani@Gertjan@Anoop Nair@Gary F@Mus_hus78@Jona Petrol stations from Dubai-Al Ain Road: https://maps.app.goo.gl/K3c9Jf2wHLUViw7s7 Petrol station if you are coming from AD side: https://maps.app.goo.gl/u9ptC1TTjzvsoN7A6 Some remarks about the terrain: * This area is providing a buffet of bowls and nice large dunes and ridges. We will be making endless loops and climbs, which will be a challenge for any passenger. So please refrain from bringing passengers on this drive as there would be guaranteed motion sickness. We will use CH4 - 446.081 Mhz as radio channel. Please be on time (deflated and ready to go by 6AM) so we can have our fill and enjoy the few hours of cool weather. See you all tomorrow morning !

  19. I present to you my latest video which from last week's Fewbie Plus drive at Al Fayah, Abu Dhabi. My videos are best enjoyed on a TV rather than phone or computer screens and this one more so. I was finding it difficult to use phone for recording on my Insta360 X3 action camera while leading the drive as well, so I got myself a remote. The side benefit of the remote is that it records the GPS data to the video as well. Well a phone does to but it was buggy. I was able to add few widgets with Telemetry Overlay on the video. This was the first time I used the camera mount bracket attached to the flagpole mount. I hope you enjoy the video, it is a musical as well - and if you do, as all You-Tubers say: Like and Subscribe ☺️

  20. @Stumpy Paj Al Haffar 676 is across the road of Al Faya 891 (the one I mentioned earlier), you'd use Al Haffar 676 when coming from Sweihan towards Abu Dhabi. If you're gonna use Al Razeen to Al Quaa road to the meeting point, I suggest follow the Abu Dhabi Boys route below 😁

  35. Yes WhatsApp me before leaving, we can sync up at Adnoc, then drive Fast 'N' Furious style and use adrenaline to fight off sleepiness in the dark long straight boring road towards Al-Quaa, and probably have wasted enough fuel, needing transfer from jerry-can into our tank during deflating πŸ˜‚

  39. Dear Desertnauts welcome to the next Carnity Newbie (and Absolute Newbie) drive. As the drive plan initially entailed the wish to give a seminar in off-roading skills, one at the time, the fact that we have 4 Absolute Newbie in the drive is not going to bring about a change of plan, actually quite the contrary. We'll still provide a detailed briefing prior to actually entering the desert, then we'll dedicate about 1 hour each to the skills of 1) side sloping, 2) straight crossing, and eventually 3) criss-crossing. Of course, all maneuvers will be supervised, and conducted both on a terrain suitable for beginners, as well as with all safety precautions, to ensure that all drivers can manage to complete the drive. All Absolute Newbies ( @taz911, @Amal Sunil, @Shady Ibrahim and @S.Mahesh), please MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SEEN THE BRIEFING LIMKED TO THE DRIVE'S POST). The meeting point will be just off the tarmac road leading from Qudra's Last Exit to the Bab al Shams Resort: after reaching the 3rd roundabout, you will circle back toward Qudra, and exit at the first break in the guard rail, before stopping just past the bike track. The convoy order, at the moment is the following: @Gautam Banka in Second Lead @taz911 at #3 @Amal Sunil at #4 @Shady Ibrahim at #5 @S.Mahesh #6 @Anas Arif at #7 @sohinik #8 @Rafey Hashmi at #9 @Ali Al Moumar at #10, and @Simon D in Sweep. Please reach the meeting point a little bit of time ahead of 7AM, so that we may ensure a timely beginning of the drive. See you all on Saturday morning. Have a great end of the week.

  41. @Gaurav calls the drive Razeen but the entire planning needs to be done for Al Qua. Normally that involved us reaching the evening prior and having a nap at the desert and may be loose an iPhone or two in the process.
