The temperature, 11C and the sun just creeping up the hills as we started our drive was just perfect. Clean dunes all for ourselves made it even better. I really loved the numerous opportunities to ride the ridges The fast paced section of the drive really amped it up. A great morning out with a top group of off-roaders! Thank you for leading a very relaxing drive @Luke K P. We quickly found the promised long-range dunes and entered a collective flow-state…everyone focussing on driving, enjoying the terrain, minimal radio chatter. Your brave attempts to cut a path through a few ridges gave us the opportunity to shovel…which actually gave some natural breaks and a chance to stop and enjoy the desert a few times. @Aser Congrats on the 100! Great to see it. @Ahmed Farouk It was a pleasure to follow your new Jeep! I’m biased, but it looks great and you’ll be zooming on the dunes before long. @JC_E it was good having you with me in the middle of the convoy too - good driving today, you make that LC move very well on the tight terrain. Finally to say, whilst I was further away, @Soap your driving today was good - it’s excellent to see the skills coming along. Couple of PoV videos from earlier…

As the sand was quite compact it allowed us to venture a bit deeper into the dunes today, which meant a bit more technical compared with the usual scenic drives. But with such a strong convoy and support, there was no stopping us. @Saniyah hats off for your first offroad drive, hardly one week after obtaining your driver's license. This makes you the youngest Carnity member! I am sure dad is extremely proud of what you accomplished today! Thanks to the smooth second lead @_Herman_, the anchor in the middle @J-P L, and @Danie looking after the back of the convoy, we were in good hands and it was a blessing to have your help. Masterclass on how to use a shovel 😎😅

After 1 day and a half, I'm still smilling like a child!!! What a drive! I feel that all my skills were called in for that drive. Thank you very much @GauravSoni for pushing and challenge me as you did while keeping everything safe. It was a really complete morning, where I had some refusals (even after repeated atemps), my first pop out ever, some early exits, but also a lot of achievements and climbs that I would swear I couldn't do it. Lot's of adrenaline, quick decisions, speed, (some very long!) ridge ridings, high dunes, amazing landscape... well, I couldn't ask for more in my second IM drive. Lot's of learnings and I thank you for that. And that last part of navigation...wow, what a finish!!! Amazing. @GauravSoni, I wouldn't change a thing! Thank also to @ChrisW, @Sam Selim and @Anoop Nair for your guidance and support, especially your help in my pop out. And of course, thanks to all the other convoy drivers. The spirit of the drive was simply amazing, one of the best I had!! Looking forward to drive with all of you soon. Cheers

Big thanks to @JeromeFJ for taking us on an amazing desert drive in Nahel. His deep knowledge, constant guidance, and readiness to step out of the car to monitor each and every ride made the off road experience truly remarkable and we have learned so so much from him. Much appreciation as well to @Mark B @Gaurav Narsinghani for the timely rescue and solid support. Truly a great team effort!

That was a tremendous IM drive @GauravSoni - really nicely led. Good lines, supportive vibe in the group…a good skills refresher to start 2026 with. I especially liked the format we used in the later part of the drive - navigating point-to-point, minimal radio, maximum emphasis on each driver using their initiative. To me this is the essence of an IM drive - each driver and car taking responsibility to conduct their best individual approach whilst moving in convoy. It would be good to see more drives like this to help further consolidate skills. Was a pleasure being out with all of you, and hope to see you again soon. Sharing a double-perspective video of slightly creatively using side-sloping to intercept a descending ridge-line. I wouldn’t usually attempt this (and it was hard on the engine), but the particular shape of this sand and line brought it together: And then a cut together of a few clips:

Thanks for a really nice drive, @Frederic! As second I got to watch a green Trooper going through a beautiful scenery, whilst looking in the mirror to see @Saniyah’s first achievements, was an entertaining drive and a good one to try a another (bashplate-free) car, although I’m pretty convinced I’ll stick to the FJ for the quicker drives. Nice encounter with camels along the way. Good way to spend the Sunday morning! See you on the next one!

Great IM drive, good mix of fast pace and climbs. Really enjoyed second part with the focus on keeping up the pace and clean lines - requiring quick thinking and reactions time. Good fun thanks @GauravSoni. More IM drive options but with smaller convoys would also be great I guess. Thanks to the supports as well @Sam Selim @ChrisW @Anoop Nair and SL @Jose Luis Campos. Saw great team work.

Thank you all for joining the drive today. We had a great time out in the sand! I started slowly for everyone to warm-up and get in the desert mode. We could enjoy the beautiful morning light and the fresh air, with great views of the surrounding dunes. After the break, we went for some more action, increasing the pace, and adding a few climbs, experiencing acceleration and momentum. After another climb, we reached into a hidden bowl, where again we could push the engines to climb, and control the speed in the descent. We continued with a bit of practice in the technical dunes, where everyone was remarkably focused. Then we reached back to the exit through an open dunes area. A nice mix of different terrains ! Great driving from everyone, we had only a few stuck or refusal, nothing major, very well done. Thank you @Ana for the 2nd lead, @Mark B for the support from the middle, and @Gaurav Narsinghani for the sweep. And for @Nicholas Hubbard, @Piotr1, @DG707, @Taka, @CY Bong, @Hansmtb, thank you for the excellent spirit and supporting the shoveling when needed ! See you soon.

Indeed every one did more than well and for the first Fb @Eddie-Raptor and @Infaz the day light part was bit of challenge but the most important that the message of how to tackle the maneuver safely was applied even if not from the first time . Very well done @Ash S. the daylight second lead was perfect you have done my friend keep it up always . @Noufal very well get away from the side away crest buddy well done @Warbs flawless drive and good to see you pal after quite a while @JC_E thanks for taking over the second lead in the night part and also for the guidance and help when needed .
