  1. Thank you all for attending the drive this morning. @Ishak made already a very nice summary with pictures. Thank you and congratulations for your first FB+ drive, very well executed. What to add? All of you have driven very well, concentrated in the bushy and technical areas, keeping you balance and momentum on the long ridges, without being distracted by the height or the view. Also you remained focused up to the last technical portion, after the long sabkha. A few refusal are always happening in the convoy, and 2 drivers were lured by the white sands, touching a sand wall, resulting into a pop-out and a deflated tire. Minor incidents for a terrain that was not easy, the wind of the last days having left some steep sand steps and sharpened crests. Thank you @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler for the support, always attentive to the front of the convoy and precise in your guidance. @Mehmet Volga thanks for watching the 2nd part of the convoy. the back was silent most of the time, but always catching the line. @Charbel, thank you for the support as 2nd lead. @Ishak @Tharun Kumar V @Krishna R, nice to see your enthusiasm and camaraderie, @Bjoern @Pierre de Maigret @Joseph Raju @Ignacio Quindós nice meeting you again, it is always a pleasure to have experienced and reliable drivers in the convoy. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and see you soon !

  20. Congratulations @Davie Chase and @Looper for successfully completing the second session of leaders lead with flying colors. As you all have learned the art of leading while navigating your way with GPS, now it's your chance to get ready for the ultimate test of skills. You will be learning the basics of leading in the desert in three different sessions: Advance sand reading, plan your lead, plan your exits. Use navigational software for selecting the right course of the path. How to plan and scale the lead and recoveries in the most grueling terrain. In this third session of leaders lead you will be leading through technical dunes with the help of off-road navigation app or device. And also learn to scale up or down the drive level difficulties as per convoy response. Prepare and mark these basic points and you will be required to reach any one or few of them: Entry and Exit Lisali camel track Lisali Fort Lisali technical dunes Murquab technical dunes Faqa long range dunes Faqa technical dunes Mark few play area in and around Lisali, Murquab and Faqa area. 21. Thanks @Frederic - this is undoubtedly one of the most diverse route i have been on, surely wouldn't have missed the chance to lead a drive here. Dear Sand Sailors @george charbel@Pacific @Misha Puskar @Sebb @Stan @Chris Wing @Rk ram please find below the details of the drive. Meeting Time: 7am Channel : 3 Drive Plan: In general as already shared by Frederic. Just one point to add - me and Fred have a bet on who will reach the destination later. No, we arent counting on your refusals 😀 but ability of convoy to find the most scenic spots and get some mesmerizing shots of nature. Ofcourse, being a big hearted person i am, i decided to give a head start to my old(er) brother 😘. So, make sure you are coming with your eyes wide open and cameras well set, as i dont want to lose this bet. Convoy Order (a bit re-ordered, to ensure we win). 1. Varun Mehndiratta in Maroob Rubicon 2. Miguel Codes- Jeep Red will be our SL 3. Misha Puskar - Jeep Wrangler 4D Grey 4. R K Ram - Xterra 5. Pacific - Jeep 2DR White at centre will be supporting the drive. 6. Charbel George Jeep White 7. Sebb - Safari White 8. Stan Wrangler 4D Green 9. Chris Wings in FJ Cruiser will be sweeping the convoy. See you all tomo. Take good rest and kill the snooze switch on your alarm clocks
