Walkie Talkie Essentials and Questions Topic
Alphin Aloor replied to Frederic's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
Hi - there seems to be a USB-C charging battery for the UV-5R. Has anyone been able to find it here in the UAE? Seems like a pretty useful upgrade https://baofengtech.com/product/bl-5/- 67 replies

Sorry, off-topic, but Very curious about this 360 camera - my straight reverse camera on the y61 itself is such a pain as there is no obvious center mounting location. Is it integrated into the pioneer system? Is it stock?

Reality Check: Toyota Land Cruiser LC70
Alphin Aloor replied to Rafey Hashmi's topic in Toyota Land Cruiser Forum in UAE
++ more creature comforts if you get the super safari - electric leather seats - auto AC - Coil springs It's not the fastest vehicle out there - but in SWB it should be perfect. LWB is really slow :(. -
Benefits of tank in an onboard compressor

Benefits of tank in an onboard compressor
Alphin Aloor replied to Alphin Aloor's topic in General Discussions
@Davie Chasedoes the compressor shut off automatically when the tank fills up and the output is closed? This theoretically means that you can leave the compressor turned on all the time right? @Looper does this work with a TPMS inside the tyre? -
Benefits of tank in an onboard compressor

I think @Davie Chasehas one. Please let me know your experience with the tank, -
After bashplates, infotainment and some lights on my y61, i'm moving to the next step in my modification journey - an onboard compressor. I actually have no issues with my dragon mart golden camel - using it for ~3 years now and it pumps faster than most petrol pumps. However, an onboard arb twin seems like a more integrated and cleaner solution long-term. I would like some advice on the benefits of having a tank connected to the compressor. is it faster? do you always leave it on? air on demand? where to position the tank and the compressor? Thanks

I recently bought a Y61 and i'm finding my social media algorithms aligning to it now. And i'm exposed to these tyres in the y61 community that can be vaguely described as balloon tyres (Airplane tyres?). Every since i was a kid, growing up in Dubai, i've always wondered about them. Why do they exist? How are they they better/worse than the favourites (G015, LTX Force, AT2, KO2 etc.)? Pros and cons. It's a bit hard find name brands on these, but some i've found are: Maxxis Desert Maxx / Maxxis 900.17 Sahara Tyres

Michelin LTX tire review needed for sand

Has anyone been able find these Michelin AT2 anywhere? Thinking of putting them on my new Y61. -
Al Futtaim has started selling v6 Hilux for personal use for a couple of years now. I test drove the vehicle and really liked it. Hilux seems to have a good reputation for reliability and offroading (in other regions). Does anyone have any recommendations/opinions of a V6 Hilux for the UAE desert/rock lifestyle? My other option is a VTC Patrol - which is significantly more expensive and less fuel efficient.
