salman
It’s easy to change the windshield wiper blades in a car. Follow the mentioned things in order and you are good to go: At first, you need to buy new wiper blades which should be exactly same dimension and shape as of the old one. If you are not sure about the dimension, just go through your car manual, it’s mentioned there. If not, you can take the old wiper blades to the auto shop and get the exact same one. Now, to install new wiper blades you need to unhook the old wipers first. What you can do is, raise the windshield wiper away from the glass to avoid any deep scratch on the glass. There is a hook connecting the blades to the wipers. Unhook the old blades from the wiper and install the new blades replacing them. But do not pull the hook with too much force, it may break the hook. Just remember, you don’t have to break the hook, you just have to unhook the old blade. If you break the hook, you might have to replace the complete wiper system from the car which by the way is an expensive maintenance. But make sure that you do this keeping the wiper away from the windshield. Windshield is quite sensitive and delicate if you are performing any DIY on any part connected to it. My friend did it once, and he got a deep scratch on the windshield because of it. So avoid doing anything near to the windshield. If you want to replace the wipers on the rear glass as well; you have to follow the same procedure. In addition, if your car is under warranty then I suppose your dealer can do it for free. If not, DIY is the best thing you can do.
