Barry
The fault occurred when you washed the engine? It's possible that the sensor is ok and you just have water in the plug causing a short. The first thing I would try is disconnect the plug, check for signs of corrosion on the pins, spray some WD40 into both sides and reconnect it. If the EML is still on, reset it and go for a drive and check. Worth looking at, could save you a few Dirhams.

Danny
Have you tried the sharjah BM road spare part shops selling OEM at half price than dealers. Like Divya, Dhanya, Majelan, Hamadi, Sendabad etc. https://www.google.ae/maps/@25.3201066,55.401727,18.31z?hl=en If you are not looking for new one, then you can try the japanese car scrapyard behind macro emirates in sharjah https://www.google.ae/maps/place/%D8%B3%D9%85%D8%A7%D8%A1+%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AE%D8%A7%D9%86+%D9%84%D9%84%D8%AA%D8%AC%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9%E2%80%AD/@25.3149408,55.4153735,17z/data=!4m7!1m4!3m3!1s0x3e5f5952bd059139:0xde97af767d23e7c7!2sMacro+Emirates!3b1!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0x382bc43ab1515e73?hl=en
milane
I wouldn't recommend buying such sensitive and critical item from scrap or the duplicate after-market option. Go with OEM so you can be rest assure it works fine for long time.
