Morning Fewbie Plus Desert Drive - Nahel to Sweihan - Abu Dhabi - 12 Oct 2024

DRIVE PLAN

This would be the place where I did my first Fewbie Plus drive and a great place to drive, also the previous time I was trying to do a FB+ it washed out due to the great rains.

When we are finished with the drive in the Nahel Area, we will take track to head towards Sweihan and end the drive there. The drive will have approximately 2:00~230 hours of drive time and half hour of breaks if all things go right.

DRIVE DETAILS

Level:  Fewbie Plus and above
When: 12 October 2024, Saturday
Meeting time:  6:00 AM - Sharp

Approximate finish time: 9:30 AM approx.
Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.
What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

RECOMENDED OFF-ROAD GEAR:

• Tire deflator & Tire pressure gauge
• Compressor (MANDATORY)
• Walkie-talkie radio (MANDATORY)
• Off-road flag (MANDATORY)
• Shovel, Tow Rope & 2 Shackles
• First-aid kit
• Fire extinguisher.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

• This drive is limited to 10 cars only.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Good morning, all! and thank you for joining the drive. The Nahel fuel station is near to the starting point but needs an illegal turn. For all who are coming from E66 please fill up at Al Hayer, there is however anew ENOC station on E20 few km before the meeting point. If you are coming from Truck Roan E75, then fill up at Sweihan.

The entrance to the starting point has been found to be waterlogged. You may want to be on the left bank of the puddle and enter straight ahead.

We will attempt to start the drive at 6:00 am sharp, so request you to be present few min earlier and be ready to drive off at 6:00, and latecomers will find a desolate starting point.

The drive duration will be approx. 3 hours. with half hour of break, and we will make a lot of loops.

The convoy order will be posted on the drive Friday afternoon. Please make sure you exit the drive in case you are not able to make it. Be good at club etiquettes and don't be a no show.
