prbhat_d
Dear All, I drive a 2009 model honda accord.....done around 92K. From past few days i feel my steering wheel makes some noise, when I checked the power steering pump I was shocked to see the leekage. I keep on refilling the power steering oil....please advise me what should I do as when I checked with a workshop based in Sharjah they are asking 2500 AED. zubs
Maximum would be changing the steering pump, that shudnt goes top 1k. See another good and fair price mechanic. Or atleast ask that guy what is wrong and what for he is quoting 2500 dirhams and then compare with another workshop. Better drive down to rashidiya or al quoz, plenty of good garage in one place to do proper comparison.

Ask him to buy a steering pump repair kit and fixing the steering pump. the kit maybe around 500 aed. Also tel him to replace and put a new hydraulic high pressure steering pump pipe. Dont drive mch with thisproblem else you may damage or completely destroy the pump. if this doesnt do well, then let me know..i will give you another alternative. S
Hello Everyone, I know this is an old thread but I am having the same issue with my Honda Accord 2008. I took it to Max Garage on Umm Suqeim road and they told me they need 4800 AED to replace the whole steering pump assembly!!! This is crazy!!! Ayman, is your friend still working at Honda? Can you please put me in touch with him? If not, do you guys know a good honest Honda Specialist? Thanks Sami
sidhan
Hi S, I got my Accord gear rebuild by a Honda specialist in Sharjah 5-6 years back. They were good and honest, as far as you agree on complete lumpsum deal and not with if's and but's. Try them.
