odometer reading

hi, i am interested in buying a fx35 but i have a concern it is a 2005 model and the odometer is showing that it is driven only 40,000 km. how do i knw that the odometer has not been tampered with as that is what my friends are telling me to check. how do i do that.

pleease help me as i dnt even have a guy friend who can advice.

Better check for service history records from dealer. If he has no record you can take the VIN no and get it check from dealer by calling them or visiting arabian automobiles in dubai.

Second if car is 40k in 5 years then every little detail in car will speak to you and looks almost new. Try to pay attention on following area: steering wheel looks crisp, gas pedal and brake pedal still have new rubber feel, stereo buttons and knob have factory paint (not faded or washed off icons), driver seat cushion and backrest still have nice cozy feel (its not sagged and beaten up) etc etc.
