i had let the car cabin lights on last night due to which the battery was dead in the morning,

so i asked my neighbor to help me charge it.

when i attached the jumper cables (his car was on) there was a sudden huge spark in my battery and then it wouldnt charge after that

has my battery gone completely or was it something else?

You were hooking wrong cable bro.

You shud hook black to black and red to red. If you do vice versa huge spark comes out and cable get hot in seconds and melt in minutes.

Hook it again where no BIG SPARKS come, may be in ur or your neighbor car red and black have exchanged somehow.

Keep your car running or drive for 1 hr, if it starts next day fine. if not its dead and not holdng charge enuf.
