I have few questions about it especially that there is no test drive from the dealer. I want to know how reliable are the new defenders compared to toyota LC70? How reliable the new engines are?, and do they have many failures or mechanic issues? Finally, The Top Speed, how fast can it go because I'll need to go about 130 smoothly? khalidh Posted January 29, 2013 Report Share Posted January 29, 2013 At 130 will not run smooth, at 80-100 its fine anything above 100 it will rev high and drink more fuel. Thats TD5, and i hope these new have same TD5 engine still. Reliability when new is very nice, maint is bit expensive than other japanese cars but its manageable. Money is not a problem because I buy a legend so I have to stand it.
