when do i need to change my tiers as they are like 2 years now

what factors are kept in mind when changing them

can i change the brand as well or it is better to stick to the same brand provided by the dealers

i have a 2008 IS

Tires are usually change after 3 years or 40k kms - 70k km as per tire manufacturer spec. You can change brand as well, but make sure to keep it same size as OEM specs.

My suggestion for good brand is Pirelli, but expensive.

Use a coin to test the thickness of your tires. If it reaches the head, that means you need to get new ones. If not, they should be good to drive on.

I have a 2009 IS 300 Model. Original tyres for the car when purchased were bridgestone (cant remember exact type but they were run flats). When it was time to change, I switched to Michelin. From then on, the car had a slight vibration. The service advisor explained that the IS300 was developed with Bridgestone. Better change to exactly the same tyres as recommended by the model.
