razakahmed Posted January 7, 2012 Report Share Posted January 7, 2012 when coming back form my Christmas vacation i got the engine oil changed and after driving for sometime black smoke came from exhaust and the car just stopped suddenly. NoNICK Posted January 8, 2012 Report Share Posted January 8, 2012 Sorry Razak, but it sounds like you toasted your engine . Just kidding ! Black smoke is carbon rich fuel. Basically unburnt fuel coming out of your exhaust. Maybe its just a (or more) cylinders not firing. Check your plugs, and then your ignition coils. I had a similar problem a while back. Also, if the MAF sensor (mounted on the air intake) goes bad, the motor wont turn over. Hope this helps. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
nikniss Posted January 10, 2012 Report Share Posted January 10, 2012 Actually speaking if your car overheated and stalled then im sure you have toasted your engine. Same happen with my friend who drive Ford, as he ignored small leak in radiator one day that leak agravate and on business bay his car stalled as he didnt paid attn to heat gauge and finally his engine is fried.
