surprised to see no one mentioned the fluids, keep the coolant and transmission fluids in check and when you're in for servicing, have them flushed and changed. Secret to a healthy engine.

BMWs are smart cars especially the newer ones, any problem the dash-lights will let you know. If you follow them and take proper measures, you're in safe hands.

thanks charl ill keep that in mind. Majority of the things were already on my checklist but the extra details and the experiences are very important!

I would suggest that please take care of the break pads and get them checked regulalrly. Because if they create a problem somewhere driving in the middle of the road then it will create a lot of problem to search for a mechanic there. Also, please check the wheel balancing of your steering every time you go to the service center before your car starts to wobble.
