pranav
Hey guys Yesterday I was driving VW Golf of my friend and I felt that the break pedals are too soft and spongy. But i couldn't figure out if its a good thing or bad. Can anyone tell me why is that so?
dannys
The brake pads generally becomes spongy and soft when you do not change the old brake fluid from the brakes. But you can flush off the old fluid from the brakes by bleeding brakes process. But also remember that bleeding brakes is the last option to opt for only if the brake line was opened or the modulator (or pump) was replaced. dubaiguy76
Bleeding Brakes should be done only when the air enters into the modulator or Brake pump. This happens when we replace the pump and put a new one. During the replacement process, the air enters inside the pump and the brakes becomes more soft and wheel travelling can be noticed. So yes, if you have replaced any Brake parts in your car, brake pads going soft is a common issue after that.
