First of all congrats @jibransayed for the longest title yet for a thread. Regarding the suspensions you will feel the lag or bounce when you drive or when you are going over a speed bump. Best is to get OEM, have to check if they are firm. I got lucky with a suspension shop in Sharjah who had some lying around from a Japanese import. They were hardly used and once I changes I immediately felt the difference. If you're looking for long term off roading than some after market ones like king shocks or old man emu will do you good. They are stiffer and offer you better traction off road, however they will kill your back on the road.

@shadow79, you are absolutely correct with the vital checks. I have actually made both checks already and there is no smoke in either case. I assume I got the oil level reduced bcoz of long duration i.e. 6 months use without a change.

Pvc valve makes a notorious smoke. They usually go bad in German cars in Japanese this rarely happen If using 10w40 is reducing oil then I would advise to use a thicker blend of 20w50 you might reduce less oil and also reduce the duration between oil changes... Honda's are strong engines but if not taken care like any engine problems start to begin...it could be leaking valve seals or worn down rings if there is no visible leaks in the engine bay...do you see smoke when you start the car in the morning..? Get someone to follow you at highway and ask them to notice the exhaust for any smoke coming out...

I dunno I have a feeling even if you can sort it out it won't stand the stress and snap after a while. Because a flag is wobbly off-road and creating stress in all directions for the entire time. Engine oil reduction and acceleration "could be" totally different issues. Let's nail it one by one, first with oil reduction. What is the current color of Adnoc oil? I highly recommend what Sri said to stick to OEM oil grade for safe bet. Is oil reduction very recent or regularly happening, as when you use 7,000 kms oil its better to change slightly early at 6K than squeezing the last breath of any brand engine oil. If oil reduction is happened in last 1000 kms then its fine, and every engine oil break down over six month and 7000 kms usage, if its few 100 ml. If reduction is huge, then something else is involved for sure.

Dear Friends, Honda Accord 2012 is reducing engine oil - this is what I was told upon last oil change from Adnoc Lube Sharjah. I use "Adnoc Voyager Silver Semi-Synthetic 10W/40" which is rated to stay for 7000KM. My vehicle took around 6 months to make it to 7000KM after which I went for oil change. Additional FYI, that my vehicle recently passed RTA test and there is no smoke what-so-ever from the engine. Compared to Toyota Corolla 2009 (my last car), I also feel that my Accord 2012 is bit sluggish at start when take off at a signal but later it's good. And I heard from mechanics that initial run of HONDAs are always bit slower than TOYOTAs. Any recommendations on how to deal with this engine oil reduction?

Latest update: I have ordered the Rustoleum clear coat can and a touch up pen for fixing the last 10%. Touch up pen was too dark, as I tested on one deep scratch and stopped. Clear coat backfired badly, although I have researched and watch tons of video on how to use it properly but still I failed. Spray Can was delivering the mist and big load randomly and dripping all over the hood. Hours later my hood ended up looking like a faded paint to have uneven patches of clear coat all around. Tried fixing that with scratch out polish and grinder, no benefit and after a while I give up as the damage was way beyond DIY scope. Btw according to web review people love rustoleum product and company claims that you can use their new technology can in any angle (even upside down) for consistent finish Lesson learn: I should have tested the spray can on wooden or metal piece first and let it dry to notice that uneven delivery and dripping problem to return the defective can. Yesterday I dropped the car to paint shop in Aweer for full repaint of the hood, hopefully I will get it by tomorrow.

Here are my observations: He clearly didn't follow the path on extreme right and thought of taking shortcut. OR he followed the path but due to slow speed he slide down on soft patch. Ideally at that point, he should have come down slowly to make another attempt without fighting gravity. Due to slip face, its difficult for him to climb and still he fought the slip face with lack of momentum. Lack of experience, made him think he can climb up and steer sharp left on such short space. In end while reversing out of such situation, steering should be straight and come down slowly.

As per Honda service schedule, if you are using full synthetic 5w-30, you need to change it in intervals of 10,000 kms only. I think a 500 ml drop in oil level is not a major concern and you can carry an extra one litre with you and top up as and when needed.

Thank you guys; just to respond your queries that there is no leakage, I tried Castrol 5w-30 grade earlier but it got reduced too, oil reduces around more than half a liter. If it is normal in every other Honda, then it's fine - I can live with it as I don't face any other issue. I 'll take care of changing it a bit early.

@Barry this reminds me of OLD Pajero days. You fixed it with your eyes closed. I am sure by this time you got your PHD in Pajeros. I really thought you could fix Pajeros ONLINE by now. Regarding the differential flashing light. My Pajero had loose pipe which was fixed by OIL change attendant and my 4x4 was fine after that.

Plug the car in. Open up live data and look at misfire indicator. It will tell you exactly which cylinder the problem is on. Basic stuff, any mechanic worth his salt should pick this up first time

I'll leave the actual what went wrong for others, but cameramen car could have given some stern warning or advise him to stop after the first incident, to avoid the second close call. Clearly shows that Silver Pajero maneuvering with tarmac estimates and had no clue how sand and dunes especially behaves. Firstly for Honda Accord the recommended engine oil grade is 5w-30 and not 10w-40. It's better to use full synthetic grade. Have you noticed any oil leaks where you have parked your vehicle? And by how much has the oil reduced in level?
