Helllo guys. Thanks to everyone for the grand shuwaib feast. We started around 5.45 AM as usual with the side slop and went on conquering the terrain almost till the end. The convoy was strong enough to take up all the challenges and every one did amazing today in maintaining the pace of the drive. We had very minimal refusals and stucks and if I am not wrong it was my self and @Anoop Nair who needed some tugging help. Thanks to @Ranjan Das for the brilliant second lead and @munkybiznessfor sweeping the convoy. Thanks to @Fabien Monleau @Mohamad Anwer@Gilbert Khalil@Charbel @Anoop Nair @Waqas Parvez @Vaibhav @Amir Amiri for making it a wonderful event. I believe ,You guys were super charged today. I hope everyone of enjoyed the day as much as I did and hope to catch-up with you guys soon. Thanks you all once again and stay safe9 points

Trip Report What a great morning it was still cool and relatively less humid than usual despite the change in climate over the last few days. every one was on time except @Zixuan Huang - Charlie who apparently missed his alarm , we equally missed you my friend . By 5:25 we were deflated flagged up and briefed after which we took the track south east. As you all have realized our journey took a course I have chosen not the usual one and in the first part we had to navigate bouncing between technical to medium and larger dunes at some time till the transmission temp red light appeared on the dashboard of @Rajiv Sam which we couldnโt find any apparent cause and probably it was due to frequent manual shifting between gears. After a 10 min pause and spraying cool water , it was gone forever till the end of the trip. Approaching AD boarder and looping in a triangle along the long medium dunes crossing till our first coffe break in sabkha Continuing fast on the track along the fenced military area and rejoining the desert where the boarders between the two emirates overlap and that was a little waw reminded me of the sand of Sweihan. No tracks except our own making. Our only pop out today let @Tom B use his jack which I really liked , thanks for the info . After seeing the team response is coping fluid we ran on the flat till we joined the most southern part heading toward Faqa proper. We looped crossed side sloped in the last one and a half hour along the soft sand in Faqa . And in this part we got few refusals and stucks including my own ones . No rope came out sparing us from visiting the gym till next week ๐คฃ Thank you all for coming and exploring new areas with me which I really loved it @Joji varghese @Simon Dawood and @Tom B as your first IM drive you did more than great all of you . Not forgetting to mention @Joji varghese awesome and flawless second lead job always vigilant and you kept the proper distance between you and the white X ๐ @Rajiv Sam itโs always a pleasure to have in any drive level . Thanks for the pictures @Daniel Yang great driving and you never spare a drive with out a beautiful tripod crest which never needed a tug at least in my drives ๐ well done. @Sunil Mathew thank you for taking the sweep position. You drove and safe guard us in the back just like a pro ๐ drive stat and some pictures I left in gallery below a relive for a memory till we meet next week drive safe and wish you good time cheers8 points

Thank you @JeromeFJ, @Shaaz Sha, @Salim Akhtar and @Tareck for a wonderful first Fewbie drive. Good fun and getting more comfortable with riding narrow ridges and cross overs. Posted some pictures in the gallery https://carnity.com/gallery/category/1362-fewbie-mahafiz-sharjah-21-may-2022 @Salim Akhtar, I tried finding that receipt but no luck. Do ask for a quote and then best price. Did anyone see those camels on the highway out of the desert?8 points

@varunmehndiratta Thank you for the great drive today, it had everything, great long range dunes, some tricky ridges and some technical dunes to test the convoy, which of course all passed with flying colors . Great S/L by @Hisham Masaadand superb winch work and support and flawless sweeping by @Warren Flay kept the convoy flowing. @Quresh Pajero @Sudhanva Sonawane@DP1011 , Deepak wrangler@Mahmoud Taha @Pieter Potgieter @Tareq Al Turq @Gregory @RiaanJH you guys drove brilliantly and made the support much easier, we did have a couple of refusals and stucks but they were easily overcome with great shoveling and team work by everyone. I hope you all had as much fun and enjoyment as i did. some great pictures in the Gallery thanks for those that took them and posted them, apologies i did not take any myself but i do not think i could add any better ones to the ones that are already there. Great to see some old friends and make some new ones. hope to see you all in the sand again shortly. Enjoy the week ahead:)7 points

@Shaaz ShaThank you for the amazing drive and to end the week with a blast. I think the first hour we could see most of the refusals seems like a coffee was not kicking in many. But moving forward everyone conquered the terrain though the sand was soft and churned a lot. There were instances where overtaking was done as the person in front had refusal. I think being intermediate level we all know the basics. @Ranjan Das excellent 2nd lead and @munkybiznessthank you for your support @Fabien Monleau @Mohamad Anwer @Gilbert Khalil @Charbel @Anoop Nair @Waqas Parvez @Amir Amiri good drive and looking forward to see you guys on the sand soon.6 points

@Islam Soliman thank you for the great drive, as always superb route and instruction/encouragement throughout. Congratulations @Indra Ozola @Theo09 @Anirudh Dayma @Ahmed_Elmahdy for successfully completing your first drive it was an absolute pleasure to meet and drive with you all. You all drove exceptionally which of course made my job of supporting you all extremely easy. @Ahmed_Elmahdy great second lead and I hope you got home ok and that you car troubles are simple in nature and easy to fix so that we can see you in the sand again next week. @Anirudh Dayma likewise on the car issues, as Islam said there seems to be an issue with the oiler cooler on the Pajero, however, I would still get it checked out and then look at a more Permanent fix. all in all a great start to the weekend and I really hope your first Carnity drive was an enjoyable and memorable one. have a great rest of your weekend5 points

Thank you all for joining this morning ! We started quietly from the Mahafiz area, with some portions of track and small dunes as a warmup, and soon, we found the first large bowls. Excellent terrain to practice side sloping, control your momentum, and enjoy the feeling of driving on an incline, or going down a steep descend in the soft sand. Everyone was doing well, gaining confidence bowl after bowl. @JERINE_B lost his concentration at one point and got stuck in a precarious position. It was the only serious stuck of the day, it was cleared with a few shovels, and an excellent teamwork. Then we reached this very scenic area between Fossil Rock and Faya. The group went through the tight bowls and ridges with no issue at all, enjoying the view, and still keeping their focus on the tracks. After a photogenic break close to Little Fossil Rock, we made our way to the high dune of Faya. A wide empty face to practice the long climbs, and adjust the gears and the power of the car. @Jessica Lambert had the motivation to try different combinations to push the Prado as high as possible, but at a point the power/weight ratio of the car imposes its own limit. We made other attempts on the main face of the dune, but the cross tracks, the soft sand, and the power limitations of some of the first cars made it difficult. At this point, I realised that @JDub had exchanged the driver seat with his young son. This is of course absolutely not acceptable. For obvious reasons, it can be dangerous for this car and for the rest of the convoy. You can read more on this topic on This incident cleared, we gave up the high climbs as the high temperature was starting to show effect on the cars, and we reached quietly to the exit point, enjoying the views of the desert with the mountains in the background. @Emanuel @Jessica Lambert @Suresh K @Salim Akhtar @Federico Galbieri @Adam James @JERINE_B @Haitham Khattab @JDub @Tareck Very well driven all of you. We had only one serious stuck with shovelling, and the conditions were not easy. @Salim Akhtar thank you for the CF, and for coming from AD, @Tareck thank you for the very reliable sweep, and special thanks to @Shaaz Sha for supporting me today, with all his experience and guidance. It was a beautiful way to start the weekend, enjoy the rest of it !5 points
