  1. People who have been born and brought up here, must have tons of memories of the UAE landscape and nature. I would like to encourage every member here to help us take a trip down memory lane and post whichever photos you have lying around, or what you have found online. (mention the source). Focus is on Nature (deserts and mountains) and Offroad. Source: These unseen photos of Abu Dhabi transport you to another era (thenationalnews.com)

  2. @Ishak @Gurcharan Mehta @Joseph Raju @Patrick van der Loo @Ahmad Nerat @Mahmoud Taha @Benjamin @Tharun Kumar V @Krishna R @Ali Abas Thanks all for RSVPing for the drive. This is a highly versatile and diverse terrain - scalable to any level with potential to explore all elements of off-roading - ridge riding, criss crossing, steep climbs and some really awesome bowls to explore. We have all been to this place and explored these beautiful features that Tawi Nazwa offers. At NB/FB level, usually, we handle these challenges on One at a time concept. Plan for this drive is to try and experience them while maintaining a continuous flow of vehicles at a good pace - so it will be a good test of our off-roading skills, ability to handle our vehicles, radio communication and convoy discipline. Its been a while i have been in this area, so i am really looking forward to it. Please ensure that your vehicle are set for the challenge and you are well rested for the drive. Looking forward to see you this saturday. Cheers

  6. Hi @ObiWanAkNoobiwelcome to the forum and club ! The Y62 is a very capable offroader, but it's delicate spots are: 1. The front and rear bumper. This is the first thing that will come off after a couple of drives. So either get them trimmed or replaced by a shorter model. 2. big stock rims that do not allow for tyres with a bigger sidewall. A smaller size rim would help. The skid plate or bash plate is a very good addition for offroading and definitely a good investment. Wheels and shocks i would not touch for now, as you are new into offroading and will still need to learn the basics first. With your stock suspension and wheels you will be fine. Once you have done 10-15 drives you will be in a better position to understand what you could/would need. @MMansoor@Lawrence_Chehimi@salah2u @Chaitanya D all drive or have driven Y62 and can advise you further.

  11. Welcome to Grand Iftar Drive - It's once in a year opportunity for all off-roaders in UAE to meet and sit in one place to enjoy Grand Iftar together. It's being held in coordination with most off-road clubs and approx. 400-500 off-road cars show up every year. Whether you are fasting or not, it's a must to attend to watch the union of off-roaders and witness the love and respect that everyone shares in this small world of off-roading in UAE. Please feel free to join us with your friends and family with your Iftari & a little extra to share with others. Please do not litter as it kills beautiful wildlife, so please carry enough garbage liners to pack the trash. 18. @M.Seidam thanks for giving me the chance to support you learn from you closely.. the drive was amazing, though it was less KM than usual fewbie drives. you give the chance to learn how to shovel, and give pull other cars properly. Technical terrain is challenging for most drivers in daylight, imagin in night. u made easy as much as it cld be.. @Gary Fwhat amazing gladiator, i was so confident driving behind u in sweep postion. things were somooth regardless of couple of refusal we encountered. @Bashar Beashabe ready man we need to unleash the power of supper safari.. the mufler sound is amazing. I think I might fix a similar one.. @Ishak and rest of the drivers were so brilliant in handling the terrain as @M.Seidam mentioned. thanks guys for nice words on the thread. I was just trying to support u to enjoy the drive to the maximum. Offloading start to be way of life 🙀 short report video can be found in the bellow link from the back of the convoy https://vt.tiktok.com/ZS8VRbDwj/ Looking forward to drive with you all again BR, Ahmad

  19. Usually min 15 cm x 20 cm to max size of 30 cm x 45 cm is good enough for visibility point. Anything lower is less visible and anything higher might be too heavy to carry.
