DRIVE PLAN Practice makes a person perfect. Remember this drive we did few days ago (9th Sep), posted by @Frederic, where I took a bunch of Jeeps and went to Sweihan. I want to take another stab at it because it can be done better. I missed a waypoint and "Butterfly Effect" kicked in and instead of going to Old Lady Dune as per the original plan, we ended up at Sweihan nice and early. To be honest plan is still very optimistic IMHO, but hey we will still have some fun trying. MEETING POINT: You can park the cars along the entry gate barrier all the way up to the red pin. Beyond the red pin is also possible but the sand is a bit soft there, so be careful. Please make sure to bring your off-road gears, plenty of water, and protection from the sun. Ensure the car is fully topped up with gas. Request every member that joins this drive to go through the information below and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquette, and responsibilities. Leading a desert drive is the most amazing experience to have, where you can combine fun, freedom, creativity, strategic thinking and survival skills all at once. Leaders lead is the drive where selected Advisors will learn to lead under close guidance. Backed with the right techniques, experience and supervision so that you can learn the art of leading with peace of mind without any fear or pressure. You will be learning the basics of leading in the desert in three different sessions: Advance sand reading, plan your lead, plan your exits. Use navigational software for selecting the right course of the path. How to plan and scale the lead and recoveries in the most grueling terrain. In this second session of leaders lead you will be leading with the help of an off-road navigation app or device. You can choose any device or app (motionx, gaia, mytrail etc) and mark these basic points and you will be required to reach anyone a or few of them: Entry and Exit Lisaili Fort Skydive Chimney Mark long range playable dunes Mark pylon tracks, cycle tracks Mark as many sabka, flat track or easy exits in case of emergency Mark fencing or restricted area Mark technical dunes P.S. I will personally check each of your devices to verify and help you further. thank you guys for joining with me for this adventures drive. it was indeed one of a kind drive. due to short and capable drivers i was able to achieve all expectation from this drive. We went on high speed rampage to reach all check points in no time. im impressed with all of your performance through out the drive. specially during technical area, we were able to cover without any issues. we had all challenges thrown at us. couple of stucks, refusals, high dune crests, pop out. but with an amazing team we sort out all of them in a flash. @Abhilash Kottakkal you drove excellent behind me keeping up with speed and precision. @Arun Menon even though you had only few FB level drive experience you drove very well. @Haneef Thayyil thank you for excellent sweep duty. you handled beast of a Y62 as champ. Btw im planning for another thorough practice session next week for confirmed members. im more than happy to welcome you guys to my team please let me know if you are interested. until next time have a nice week ahead. 👍2 points

Was pretty easy in the end, still need to relocate the parking sensors to the bumper, found if you unplug them the alarm goes off every time you put it in reverse, but if you leave them plugged in and taped together so the sensor are hard up against each other the alarm stops and the others still work 😂 nearly 11kg of weight removed from the rear door 😳2 points

It was my longest drive experience ever with team Carnity (87km), learned a lot and enjoyed the drive from beginning till the end. We had covered almost all the terrains such as technical dunes, big dunes, slide slopping, sabka driving, desert jungle, scenic, farm drive and lake side drive all together in one long drive thank you @Rizwanm2 . And it was so fun to achieve all the pre-assigned waypoints. We had pope-out, few refusals and stuck but we managed everything without spoiling time and it was nice learning experience too. As it was a short convoy 4 people only, personally I got chance to sweep, this is my first ever experience so I really enjoyed it @Rizwanm2 thanks for giving me the chance ☺️ @Abhilash Kottakkal you made your role very well as SL, you drove amazingly compare to all other drives. You and @Arun Menon got a chance to pull the cars those got stuck and I assume this is your first experience for the same, I'm also waiting my turn on next drives. I don't know why there is no gallery for this drive to upload images.1 point

Hello Ale, I wanted to extend my heartfelt appreciation for your exceptional leadership during our today’s desert drive. The experience was not only educational but also thrilling, and it's all thanks to your guidance and expertise in navigating challenging terrains. The Halloween drive made even more memorable, not just by the demanding landscape but also by the incredible team spirit fostered by the other drivers. Special thanks to each of them for adding an extra element of fun and excitement to the journey. The creative Halloween-themed decorations and costumes brought a festive atmosphere, making our adventure uniquely enjoyable. Once again, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your exceptional leadership and to the entire team for making this experience a remarkable and unforgettable one. I look forward to more adventures with this fantastic group.1 point

Thank you @Ale Vallecchi for organizing this amazing drive. The drive was fun, enjoyable, challenging and scary 👹 👾 👽 😄 Well done @SUMEDH KRISHNA WAGHMARE, @Soufiane, @Mahesh_, @Martin M for the Newbie Plus ridge riding lesson drive 👍. And all the rest of the convoy drove very nice @Theo09, @frederic demolder, @JERINE_B @Usman Basit. We have 3 or 4 morning radio channel struggling this morning, so just a reminder for those who haven't set their radio channels to 10 Carnity radio channels, please take the time to do it to make your drive easier in the future. Here is the link for common radio models.1 point

It was great seeing you again @JeromeFJ and it seemed indeed that the hidden gems we went looking for did not reveal themselves so easily to us. @Rk ramwoke us up with a nice stuck inside a dip, where @JeromeFJ was able to redirect him a bit, but eventually he was able to drive himself out wonderfully. It gave us the first taste of what would follow.. About 20mins later into the drive, @JeromeFJ announced he had a popout from sliding off a dune, and while i circled back towards him, @FERNANDO SYRIOannounced he also had a popout. I went to check on Jerome, and after seeing he was ok, i went back to go and help out Fernando, and got myself into a pickle when i slid off a dune myself and encountered a popout myself (so 3 popouts in less than 5 minutes apart). @Chacame to my rescue and pulled me out of that ditch and we fixed my popout together. By the time we were finished, Jerome managed to help out Fernando so we were all "popped in" again and good to go. I decided to exit that area as it was giving off the wrong vibes, and decided to take a bit of sabkha and head in a bit further. The next time we entered we found some nice rolling dunes, but as i started to pick up the pace, i came over what looked like an innocent dune and found a massive bush right in front of me. After some digging we managed to get the patrol redirected and able to drive out. My second lead @Gary Falso decided to take a break from the offroading game and parked his sandrunner on a nice looking crest Again we headed out and went back in a bit further and again i got myself in a pickle when i had a nasty nose dive in a hidden depression. A fantastic pull from Gary got it back out, and after some other small refusals and stucks, we exited again. By that time, we were running close to exit time and i felt that this morning somewhat was not in our favor and the best thing to do was get the hell out of there. I picked up the pace and we drove towards the exit in Baja style. I thank you all for joining and for bearing with the refusals, stucks, and shoveling. My signature smooth style drives today turned into a challenging one, but alas we had some good fun and learnings and we got out unharmed. Great support from @Cha, fantastic second lead @Gary Fand a very strong undeterred convoy consisting of @Deepak Eswar, @Mohit Gurnani, @Cristian, @FERNANDO SYRIO, @Zulfikhar Naiyar, @Rk ram, and @JeromeFJwho got back into the game and probably wished for something better Hope too see you all in the sand soon again and we can have a "smoother" drive next time !1 point
